HOUSTON — A grand jury here that was investigating accusations of misconduct against Planned Parenthood has instead indicted two abortion opponents who made undercover videos of the organization.

Prosecutors in Harris County said one of the leaders of the Center for Medical Progress — an anti-abortion group that made secretly recorded videos purporting to show Planned Parenthood officials trying to illegally profit from the sale of fetal tissue — had been indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record, a felony, and on a misdemeanor charge related to purchasing human organs.

 I was reading up on this last night, LL,  and from what I can see,  they are not even denying they lied and broke the law, just that they feel justified in doing so. 

I doubt a jury will make much difference.

An indictment isn't a conviction.

It just means it will go to a jury.

PP is going to have to prove these are lies.

I say bring it on. Let the world know what planned parenthood is about. I hate abortion. I'm against hurting any living being whether it is a animal or innocent baby. I can't reconcile in my mind why it's horrible to kill/torture a animal but it is ok to harm/torture a innocent baby.

And I support my local pregnancy refuge center. Many people against abortion actually DO support pregant girls.

But as long as my taxes are being given to planned parenthood, I'm being forced to support them against my will.

PP is a place where people, primarily women but men too, can go for health screenings, reproductive care, some prenatal care, (although I do not know much about that, and don't know hom much or for how long) , SDT treatments, birth control, adoption advice, and yes, abortion.

 But you can't charge people who have not broken the law with a crime just because you oppose it. That is not how the law works. 

Being "legal" and being ethical and moral are not the same thing.  The goal was to expose the unethical practices of PP.

 I think you are missing the point.  They are not claiming to not sell the parts - just that it is done legally.  Your post above says they are not selling them.

 Because selling body parts is illegal.  But, asking for a fee to cover the cost of storing, moving, and processing for transport is not. 

I heard that since the videos, PP has waived even those costs. They are still donating the body parts, just waiving the fees.
