HOUSTON — A grand jury here that was investigating accusations of misconduct against Planned Parenthood has instead indicted two abortion opponents who made undercover videos of the organization.
Prosecutors in Harris County said one of the leaders of the Center for Medical Progress — an anti-abortion group that made secretly recorded videos purporting to show Planned Parenthood officials trying to illegally profit from the sale of fetal tissue — had been indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record, a felony, and on a misdemeanor charge related to purchasing human organs.

Good luck with the jury. Our corrupt government has a political agenda. A jury does not.
I was reading up on this last night, LL, and from what I can see, they are not even denying they lied and broke the law, just that they feel justified in doing so.
A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
I say bring it on. Let the world know what planned parenthood is about. I hate abortion. I'm against hurting any living being whether it is a animal or innocent baby. I can't reconcile in my mind why it's horrible to kill/torture a animal but it is ok to harm/torture a innocent baby.

Yep.

Abortion is legal, as is donating body parts, as is charging a fee for the proper storange and handling of the body parts.
And these two are not even denying that they broke the law.
PP is a place where people, primarily women but men too, can go for health screenings, reproductive care, some prenatal care, (although I do not know much about that, and don't know hom much or for how long) , SDT treatments, birth control, adoption advice, and yes, abortion.

It is still killing a unborn innocent child who should be protected. Just because it's legal doesn't make it right. Slavery use to be legal too.

But you can't charge people who have not broken the law with a crime just because you oppose it. That is not how the law works.
I don't believe the goal was to charge PP with anything.
I think it was more about exposing their disgusting practices.

And there are other organizations that do that without the abortion component.

Being "legal" and being ethical and moral are not the same thing. The goal was to expose the unethical practices of PP.

And that is fine, but, like a lot of people who try to expose bad practices, they went to far and attempted to 'expose' them as doing stuff they were not in fact doing, prompting a massive investigation, which emberrasingly, showed that the people attempting to expose illegal activity were the ones doing illegal things, so in the end, it backfired.
And the goal of the videos was to 'prove' illegal activities by PP, namely, organ harvesting and selling body parts, which multiple investigations have shown they are not doing.

Ummm, yes they ARE selling body parts. They just claim it's legal.

Apparently, Texas disagrees with you, because there were multiple investigations that showed everything was done legally.

I think you are missing the point. They are not claiming to not sell the parts - just that it is done legally. Your post above says they are not selling them.

Because selling body parts is illegal. But, asking for a fee to cover the cost of storing, moving, and processing for transport is not.
I heard that since the videos, PP has waived even those costs. They are still donating the body parts, just waiving the fees.
