All right, I can relate to that. Raining here but no snow. One of the "outside" cats who injured his leg somehow seems to be recovering nicely and can walk and jump to some extent again. How resilient they are.

Had a busy day at work yesterday, then DD had the Sadie Hawkins dance - the first ever girl-ask-guy dance their school has ever had. She is exhausted from helping organize it all, but it went well. Today, she has a performance for her dance class so I have to leave work to go see it, then go back to work when it's over. But she is worth it! I keep thinking that soon, I won't have anyone in school to do this for! So I am enjoying it now while I can.

Yay it's Friday. My day I get to put DD on the bus and go into work late.

Lovely January winter day! Passing snow showers with no accumulation expecteed today with a high around 40.

Not a work day, school has not started yet. But today will be a busy day. Tomorrow is the first Social Event (DJ/Karaoke) party at the lodge for the social events that I am trying to start happening again on a regular basis. I need to run around getting the food/drinks for it. It is adults only and BYO Beer and Wine only. We are ordering pizza and hoagies. I am getting the beverages, veggies, chips, dips (I will make homemade), nachos and popcorn.

If there is time, I will also get a mani/pedi and the car washed.

The ones I used weren't doing a good job. Over the years I just ended up cleaning things after the dust built up. I shouldn't have to do that. The last time the old maids were here, I asked for certain areas to be included which had been neglected, and they still did a half-ass job. Cobwebs are left, and I don't think they've ever dusted the fireplace tools or mantel. It's funny, but I used the same company when I lived in Reston, and that crew did a fantastic job. When we moved, we were out of the service area for that crew so we had to go with another office/crew. (It's a franchise). I noticed a big difference, and not for the better. I procrastinated finding a new one, but my mom is pretty happy with hers so that's who I'm going with.

I'm pooped. But, the tennis has been really exciting, so it's worth it. wink

Sunny and 73 for our high today.

We'll be in the mid 70's until Monday. Then, winter comes back on Tuesday.

I guess I will try to enjoy this warm spell, while it lasts. smile

I guess I missed something...what is this tennis you speak of, FWM? I love playing tennis and have played it most of my life. I'm not great at it, as I don't play often, but I'm good enough to enjoy it. DH was very good at it and even competed in his youth. We take the boys out to the club every now and then and they have a good time, but don't always keep it in the court. I have to admit I never thought I'd hear "wow, so that's what it sounds like when the ball hits the light" while playing.

Yes. She found a great program at a school nearby to fulfill her requirements and she is trying to get into a school in London her masters. If not, there is another top rated program in NYC.

I actually didn't watch the series, other than a few episodes here & there. I saw the movies.

Quality of the recording on my laptop sucked, but I definitely plan to watch the rest.

No napping here. I was busy shopping, getting the car washed, getting a mani/pedi, making homemade dips for tomorrow and settling down MIL. DH will be home soon. We are going out to dinner because my diploma came yesterday. Magna Cum Laude!
