Oh no NJN, I'm so sorry to hear her seizures are back. It had been a while.

Thanks.  You're not here on the weekends.  Sunday morning she started having seizures.  She had about 11-12 in a 24 hour period.  They told us they were cluster seizures.

How awful.  I'm sure she is scared & disoriented.  That poor girl.  I can't remember if I told you back when it started that I had a ferret that had seizures.  It is terrifying to watch & not be able to do anything.

No you didn't!  That's strange.  Although before this I never really thought about animals having seizures.

LL, how were your girls this morning? Still can't imagine having to live through that.

The wind is really kicking up now. We are in for some serious thunderstorms tonight.

It's very Spring like. I'm loving it.

They were ok this morning at home, but the school was eerily quiet - you could hear a pin drop.  We'll see how the day went with grief counselors and such.

Tomorrow will be hard for DD11 - she usually tutored this girl on Wednesdays after school.

LL, I was out yesterday & had to look up the daily thread.  I am so sorry for your girls & their schoolmate's family.  What a terrible experience for young kids.

I just really can't get over having to tell my 5 year old her friend is dead.  Nobody should ever have to do that.

I don't know the girl's parents.  I'm sure they are devastated.  They still haven't released the child's name, but of course the kids know - it's not that big a school.

Maybe tomorrow you could do something in honor of the little? I don't know. Don't know if it would help or hurt.

Gonna keep praying for all yall.

Sending more prayers of comfort for all.

Could the kids make the parents cards? It might help the kids too. I'm sorry. I'm honestly trying to think of something. Those poor parents.

I can't imagine losing my child. My heart breaks just thinking about it.

I like NJN's idea of making the parents cards.

What an awful situation. I can't imagine being those poor parents. I hope your girls are doing well LL. As well as can be expected anyway.

I think that making a card for the parents would be really therapeutic for the girls and also for the parents. Let them know that their child's life touched others. That would be important to me.

And yes flan - I am done with the cleanse. While my insides felt great, I was miserable and mad and obsessed with food the entire time. I will never do it again!

Depending on his crankiness level and when he wakes up, we've started allowing DS to choose if he wishes to nap at his usual time (1/130) or wait until closer to 3. He chose 3 today so he just went down for his nap a few minutes ago and zonked out pretty quickly. No nap is not an option because he gets way too sour if he doesn't nap.

I'd nap myself but my bread will be done in about 20 minutes so I can't. I need to start the cookies too. Now to get some motivation together and actually start them.

I stopped doing naps around 2 or 3. But I did make them do quiet time. If they fell asleep, that was fine too.

I miss those quiet times.

Anyway.

It looks like it's about to get ugly here.

Rain starts in 93 minutes. According to the weather app anyway.

All I did was think about food. Is it time to eat? Can I eat that? Can I eat this? What is in this? It was terrible. But honestly, my insides never felt better. Less bloated, more regular - but not worth the price I had to pay! I like food! All kinds of food! 12 days without cheese is pure insanity!

Monster is on his way to the vet.

He was jumping off the couch, got tangled up in the cushions and landed on his left leg which rolled in a very sickening way over his shoulder. And his eye has blood in it.

I've never heard a person or animal cry out like that.

He is back home.

They don't think anything is broken.

Gave him something for pain and said to wait and see.

The blood was from a small place on the eyelid.

He's a little loopy right now.

I think he popped his shoulder out and back in.

He will be fine in a few days.

We went over and met the dog that my tenants are thinking of getting to see if we approve of him. He's a mutt, but he looks like a mastiff-great dane mix. He is huge and sweet.

Yes. They are digging holes everywhere. Not this house - my old one. As soon as we moved out and took our dog, the little monsters moved in. They wanted a dog - I told them to go get one. The house is set up for a dog, with a fenced run along the back of the house.

We only have wild ones.  They don't come near houses.  We live caddy corner to a huge dairy.  I really want to go down there and check it out sometime but can't think of a legit way to approach them.  lol  We have coyotes and wolves too.  But there's all kinds of open land near where I live so they all stay out there.

That's what I do, I put the work goggles on and go to town with the blower.  So much more efficient than a broom.

Lily, good news on monster! Sonny tried to jump up on the arm of a chair last night and fell because I had folded laundry pile high on it, I had never heard such a cry from him when he landed on the hardwood floor.

It has been 50's here, prediction is 13 next week. Grrrrrr

Last batch of cookies are almost done then they just have to cool and I can bag them. DS both helped and "helped" make the cookies. The recipe I used lied. It said the cookies were soft. They're not. They're delish but they're more crunchy than soft.

Next time drop one minute off the bake time. It's amazing the difference one minute makes with cookies.

I bet your house smells wonderful.
