 Ha ha.

You seem to be forgetting I lived behind the Iron Curtain.  Under communism.

You live under the American shield.

OMG how true is that?  Canada has been pulling financial support from NATO for the past few years, but they still enjoy the  protection the US funds.  If Canada was left to it's own devices they would be overrun with terrorists entering their Country to get to the US., oh wait....

No one is voting yet.  We are in the polling process now.  Do you really think that socialism is right for this Country, DONA. Do you really want your family farm to be under the management of the Gov't?  No, you don't.  And you will be paying for all that "free" university and "free" food for those who refuse to work.

I know your kids and they are great.

Mine are too...totally self sufficient.  Own their own homes, pay their own bills.

But this country is for the most part raising a bunch of pansies....

Both my kids were on their own, jobs and home owners before they each turned 30.  Plus good marriages and kids.  Same with my niece and nephews. Not one of them are voting for Bernie Sanders so he doesn't have all young peoples vote.

Nothing is free.  Businesses will most likely won't be hiring any new employees because they will be stretched thin from paying even higher taxes then they already do.  Obama care has really hurt our business and prevented us from hiring anymore people. It will hurt the small business owner.

For one thing, it isn't pure socialism, it is democratic socialism. But nobody really csres about the difference, so whatever.
For another. . . Look aroumd at who is running. Hilary? She cheated in Iowa, she is a consistent liar, and she represents big money and the same old curruption. And for republicans? Trump is a bully and a coward. Cruz is weak, and a bit of a whiner. Rubio I don't know much about, maybe he is decent, maybe not. But, of those options, Bernie is the one who is most likely to actually make a difference. He has a long history of working across party lines, of building compromises and working together. He has always actually read what he is voting on, and taken the time to do his job.
Trump is a lot of talk without any real plans. He is all bluster and hot air. And he is a bully, he would never try to work with anyone, and I don't think he knows what a compromise is. Hilary is just plain slimy. So, if you don't want to vote for Bernie, don't. But I will vote for him when the primaries roll around, and hopefully, vote for him in November as well.

Trust me, we know the difference. We also know the difference between capitalism and socialism. Capitalism is the reason our young country became a world power in less than 200 years. Socialism, the kind Bernie wants, will just work to destroy everything we've built.

You do, but I'm not sure about the rest of the country.

And I think many supporters are attracted to him because of this:

He has a long history of working across party lines, of building compromises and working together. He has always actually read what he is voting on, and taken the time to do his job.

Yes, because READING the bills you are voting on is such a silly thing fo an elected official to do.
I have researched Bernies plans and stances and how he wants to do things. If the numbers are correct, the plans seem good.

Yes.  That excuses everything.  He reads the bad bills before he votes for them.

What bills, specifically, has he voted for or against that you take issue with?

Well, let's just look at a few.  Of course, he chooses not to vote a lot, too.  Now, I will be honest and tell you that many of his votes I do not take issue with - and some of them I actually LIKE.  But, there are issues that I cannot agree with.

He voted against the Stop Sanctuary Policies and Protect Americans Act which says he basically sanctions cities ignoring immigration policies and laws.

He voted against defunding Planned Parenthood and he voted against limiting abortion after 20 weeks.

He repeatedly voted in favor of increasing the debt limits.

He has voted against religious organizations having the freedom to hire people in accordance with their beliefs.

He has voted to grant immunity to illegal immigrants and has voted against measures to limit the entry of illegal immigrants.

He has voted against more funding for our defense budget including increases in pay for our military, while voting in favor of high incresases in minimum wage elsewhere.

When was the military one?
A while back he came under heat for voting against a bill similar to that, but there was something sneaky about the bill, I don't remember what--cutting benefits, I think. I will try and look up the details later. It was the only year he had a serious opponent for Senate.

And that is fine to not agree with everything he votes for.

Which candidate do you agree 100% with?

None.  But when I took the quiz on "I side with...", I was with Rubio and Cruz in the 90s.  Trump was in the 70s.  Sanders was down at about 27%.  Hillary was in the 30s.

Mine probably favors Trump because of my hard line stance on illegal immigration. ILLEGAL is illegal. Period. Get out.

Mine is pretty much the same and I am very anti illegal immigration. DH came here legally and worked hard to get his citizenship. It's a slap in the face to those who do it the right way.

44% for Bernie?  You might as well vote for him.

I got Cruz 97, Trump 94, Hilary 19, and Bernie 4.

they needed some more economic questions, especially regarding the national debt/deficit.

Yes, they needed more economic questions.  Too many social questions, not enough economic questions.

Colin Quin on Bernie Sanders...

Being the Senator of Vermont is like being the manager of Crate and Barrel. As long as you don't touch anything and break it you really can't screw up the job.
