I was wondering.

I've never used a caterer so I didn't know if it was about right.

Mom knows a photographer who is only charging us $100 for 2 hours, all the pictures on disc, a framed 11x14 and a memory book.

I think that's awesome.

That is a good price, if the photographer is any good.  Have you seen any of their work?  Referrals?

I would check this out a little closer, Lily. The price seems very low to me for a professional. Please, look into their work.

The woman worked with my mom, well, mom trained her and they are friends.

Yes. I've seen her work and her prices.

She is doing it at a discount.

The caterer seems like a great idea, I need to meet with them when we get a better idea of exactly how many are coming.

Thanks for the feed back.

Question.

Which is better, hand addressed envelopes or printed address labels?

I think they should be addressed by hand.

Mom wants to use the labels.

Depends on the handwriting.  Technically, they should be hand-written, but if you have terrible handwriting, the labels would look better.  It's hard to be objective about your own handwriting, though.

True.

And since my eye sight has started to get that aged aspect to it, everything I write seems to be bigger than need be.

I never cared for labels. But I do like a pretty, cursive font, from the printer. I used to put the envelopes in my printer and address them in a nice font from my computer.  You have to play around a bit to get the addresses in the right spot, so I would cut a piece of paper the same size as the envelope and practice with that so I wouldn't waste a good envelope.

I thought about that.

Mom has changed her mind on the color blue.

Now she wants a lavender.

Ok. It's still early.
