Omg omg omg!!!! Sweetness just facetimed me all by herself! She dialed me on her iPad and said, "grandMAMA, I want to hug you!", and she hugged her tablet. I was in TEARS! She danced for me (I couldn't see it because she set the tablet down), and then blew me kisses and said I love you, GrandMAMA. Good night.

DS seemed to enjoy Kids Club today. He was overwhelmed by all the action but he got into it towards the end. They also did the grand re-opening for the play area. He especially loved the free ride on the carousel that the kids get after Kids Club.

DH is registered at the hospital to have surgery Monday.

I'm going to gripe. Don't care. DS and his friend (a girl down the street) have a hobby. She makes homemade candles and soap. They're gorgeous and smell fantastic. DS does little mugs that are stuffed with goodies and have a theme. Like a football one or a Valentines one. He'll even customize them for you. The two of them have gone to some local businesses to sell them and take orders for the future. They're not making a killing but they're coming out ahead and having fun. Gripe part. The lady I used to be friends with that just had the baby and bought a huge house asked DS to come over and help her with the baby so she could clean house. She didn't even pay him. Fine. While he was there she asked him about his hobby. So he showed her how to do the candles and soap and put together a mug of goodies. Yeah, it's pretty simple. She probably could have figured it out on her own. But the point is she didn't. He showed her. So on his facebook page he has an ad for Valentines day mugs, candles, and soap. She copied his little blurb word for freaking word and put it on her page. Apparently she's stolen his idea. Yeah, I know he doesn't OWN the idea but he's always helped this GROWN WOMAN out whenever she needed it. Now she stole his idea. It just irks me.

I mean, technically she didn't do anything wrong. She didn't break any laws or do anything illegal. She has the right to capitalize on a free market too. But at the expense of a kid who idolizes you and babysits for you and helps you clean your house FOR FREE? That's just low. If it were another kid I could understand it. From an adult? Not so much.

He is hurt and angry. He doesn't understand why his "friend" would do that to him. This lady used to be a really nice person. Something changed in her when she got pregnant. Now it's like she wants what she wants and she'll step on everyone and anyone to get it. In a way I'm glad he won't be hanging around with her anymore. She's a user and he doesn't need to be around that.

That's sweet. I'll ask them. The VFW (Veteran's of Foreign Wars) club lets them come every Friday night when they do steak dinners. They sit up there with their stuff and people will buy their wives and g/f's stuff. Sometimes they will ask for specially made things. One lady wanted one in our local college football theme so DS made up a mug with all kinds of stuff. A teacher ordered twenty of them for her class at Halloween. He made those little tootsie pop ghosts and put them in themed paper cups. They were cute.

I would tell him to share his ad on her page but she's just a mean person. There are times to make a point and times it's better to walk away. I really think walking away is the better option here.

LOL That's a good idea. I like it. This is the kind of person she's become. She DID ask me to babysit but here's what she wants. Her daughter just turned five months. She needs a sitter for 30 hours a week. You have to go to her house, submit to a background check, be CPR certified, first aid certified, do light housework. She's offering $20/week for all this. She hasn't found a sitter yet and keeps asking if I'll do it. I keep telling her no.
