I wish I could go down there this month, but it just doesn't work with my work schedule.  But April I will and take pics.

DS is in his room for naptime. Today is the first day he's getting to actually use his big boy bed. He's been going to bed real good lately so we figured we'd give it a shot. He's in his room playing rather than sleeping right now but he keeps going to his bed and getting in. We put a baby gate across his door so he can't get out. The game plan is that the baby gate will stay up till he falls asleep then will be taken down so when he wakes up, he can just come out. For night time, we have two gates that we will "stack" one on top of the other to avoid him climbing over the gate. We have the gates positioned so that they would fall into the hallway rather than into his room if he manages to dislodge one or both.

That is a really good plan, chef.

 Thanks :)

It took him 2 hours to decide to nap but he's now sound asleep in his bed. I expected some growing pains transitioning him into his big boy bed but we'll get there.

He'll probably be up later than usual tonight but that's ok. He can help set up for the Super Bowl party tomorrow.

Snakes ARE cute. I like snakes, and would catch them and keep them as pets.

I'm not one of those "jumping on a chair and going Eeek!" women.

Any more seizures, NJN?

I am so scared of them.  They are cold and they feel slimy to me.

Slimy? They're not the least bit slimy. When was the last time you held one? They're not eels, you know.

Along time ago... I know they aren't really slimy but it was cold and I didn't like holding him/her.

I am back to my couch, and it feels so good :)

Gotta love the internet. From my beloved couch I have bought new pants, ordered birthday presents for a friend, and supported a high school classmates kick starter campaign (which if anyone is into folk music, I can point you in the direction of some good stuff)

Were you one of the jump and run moms?

Or has that already been asked an answered?

I'm going through the thread s l o w e l y..

Not really.  It startled me, but snakes don't bother me too much.  If it was tarantulas, that would have seen me running to the next county.

Went to the memorial service for my co-worker's husband. Saw some work friends. It was nice. She's a mess, understandably. Drove around the town where I lived for 5 years after leaving California. Much of the area has changed. My little town is growing. It was fun. Stopped at the casino because, well, I can't just drive past without stopping. Threw away $20. I couldn't find my favorite machine so I wasn't really feeling it. Had a nice bowl of soup and headed home. I really, really, needed the drive.

But it would be so funny to watch! Sorry, not for the spider.

I'm picturing in my head your dog bouncing up and down in excitement waiting for his "snack".

But yeah, he's beautiful.
That's why people kept adopting him from the pound.
He's also a pain in the ass.
That's why people kept bringing him back.

Oh God! He never shuts up.

All you have to do is make eye contact, and he bursts into a litany of observations and complaints.

The screaming starts at dawn. He sounds like a baby being butchered with a set of bagpipes.
