I'm not talking just about healthy.  You can't get the quality of beef I eat in any store anywhere.

You have a higher risk of colon cancer with all that cow, whether the rest of us can buy it in the stores or not.

Congratulations.

Whatever.  Most people I know eat a lot of beef, and I can't think of one who died from that.

Not the point, anyway.

I swear, some would argue about their farts.

"Mine's better than yours"

"Mine's healthier than yours"

"Mine's more environmentally friendly than yours"

There is a new canned tuna coming out that is t aged for Mercury - every single fish is tested to .01 PPM. It's the only canned tuna safe for pregnant women and children because they literally test every fish and go so far beyond the gov't recommendations. It's called SafeCatch for anyone who likes tuna. Look for it if you are worried about mercury.

That should say tested for mercury. It's won't let me edit for some reason.

Tuna is cat food, in my opinion.

So gross.

No way could I eat fish three times a week.  Its just not that good.

Oh, I LOVE fish.  If you marinate and cook fish right, it can be heaven on a plate.

But not anywhere close to a good steak, pork chop, or even a burger.

 Your diet is boring...

I'm going to bet I eat better than most.

Better? Or more meat-based?

Both.  We almost never eat box food.  Almost everything is made from scratch.   We rarely dine out.  Never get take out.

I always cook from scratch. No processed food. Lots of whole grains, vegetables, fish and fruit. Some chicken.

What makes you think you eat better than me, just because you eat more cow?

You cook?  You are always posting that you eat out.  And that you dont bake bread but buy it from the bakery.  That isnt "always cooking from scratch."  One minute your a vegan and now you eat chicken .

What does that have to do with anything?

What the hell are you babbling about now?

I was never a vegan.

Have you suffered a blow to the head? We've been through this over and over and over again.
I'm not a vegan. I'm not even a vegetarian. I DON'T EAT RED MEAT. I DON'T EAT MAMMALS.

Maybe this time it will sink in, but I doubt it. If it didn't sink in the first twenty times.......

Are we clear, now?
Or will you be back in two weeks, whining about how I eat chicken while being a vegan?

Whenever I see studies like this, that draw a "cause and effect" correlation between things that might not fit,

I look at them a bit differently:

Not cause and effect, but more likely effect and effect ...

both things result from some third factor, or possibly a third and fourth factors, that are closely related.

In this case, possibly ...

1. Fish meals are more expensive than chicken or pasta meals, so

2. middle class and wealthy people are able to afford more fish than less financially stable people ..

3. so possibly pregnant women who are more able to afford fish will then eat 3 or more fish meals a week,

while poorer people will not.

4. The ones who can afford to and do eat more fish, are the same ones who can afford to feed their children better meals.

So both factors, women eating more fish and children being more nourished (and heavier)

come from the same initiating factor ... relative wealth.

NOT cause and effect, but two effects of one cause.
