So, I discovered today that I have complete free reign to redo my classroom at the church. Anything I want. So many choices! Kids and adults will both use this room. I need ideas!

You should have a focus wall. It's one color with a "frame".
And you can use it to illustrate your lessons.
Like Easter is coming up, start with palm Sunday and a scene in one corner. Then do passover the next Sunday. Then do the garden, then the trial, crucifixion and then Easter Sunday the largest would be the empty tomb.
Like a visual time line.
You could do that with each lesson plan.

It's the biggest room, but only one window. One wall is dominated by a huge bulletin board with a frame. I have another large wall that I can do almost anything with. Yes, I can paint.

A mural? A collage of different stories from the Bible.
A time line.
Jesus' family tree.

Daniel in the lion's den, Tower of Babble, David and Goliath.
You can still do a time line on a wall. That way it is always changing.
You could do a hand print border. Each kid puts a hand print on the wall, their name goes under it. Over time, it could be awesome.
You could choose a scripture and put it on the wall and make it more "grown up" with more of a "hang out" feel.

A mural is a pretty big order. It could look pretty tacky unless you are a good artist. I wouldn't try to get too cutesy with it. Just make it tasteful and pretty.
Ok. Go with a cool color palette. Ask the kids for ideas.
Pick a scripture you want to become the class "motto". Like I can do all things through Christ or I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Something like that.
Make that the centering point on a wall.
Then create "framed" places for interchangeable art or pictures of the kids doing things. Learning.
I wish I could get what is in my head in a post so you can see it.

With the varying age groups, the trick will be to find something fun that makes the kids feel comfortable, and the adults not feel like they are in a playroom. Maybe a simple, mural and an inspirational phrase?
Or maybe even make a chalkboard wall where you can change the verse every so often? Or let the kids write their favorite verses on it?

As someone that couldn't draw a straight line if my life depended on it, I really liked the trees as well. It gives a pretty look, but is vinyl stickers, so no details to paint and you can change it fairly easily. Of course, you could probably find flowers/ designs in vinyl and make something similar to the others, but there is something about the simplicity of the trees that stands out more.
