So I found out, and verified, a few things about good things Trump has done, not for accolades or to build up a business but just from the goodness of his heart.  NJN has posted a few times about research she has done and posted articles that are merely business failures of Trump.  So I think we should stop posting that crap and post good things Trump has done.  There are a ton of them.

When he found out that the US doesn't fly the military home from overseas to see their families (we only pay for them to come home at the end of their rotation) he sent his plane and/or paid to charter flights to bring these guys/gals home.

He paid for a family on the west coast to fly their kid to the hospitals here so their kid could be cared for by a Doctor who has expertise with the disease the kid has.

He gave refuge to the Hudson family after the horrible killings that occurred in their home.

Now your turn!

of course you can.  And others have posted the "dirt" as well.  Let's post positive things.  This guy has done so much with no fanfare.

You might want to really check those articles. I found several good deeds that he supposedly did. For example, donating money to 9-11 survivor's. But when you dig a little deeper you find out that it wasn't even his money. It was money that came from a fund from Hollywood people that they donated. And the money didn't actually go to survivors but to research lung disease from 9-11. And the researcher was a Scientologist working on some weird experiment.

Most of his good deeds go through different "charities". And the money comes from outside sources. Not from him. He takes the money and lets it sit in the bank collecting interest before someone on his charity board doles it out "in his name".

So what you are talking about is the foundation. The same type Gates and Buffet have.  To be a foundation a certain percentage has to be given to a charity every year to retain the foundation status.  Gates and Buffet just give each other's foundations 100M a year and they are covered by the IRS law.  Trump actually gives it to charities that do something.  Don't argue IRS law with me, I know most of them.

And my point is that he gives other people's money to people. Not his. I fully understand how charities and foundations work. People donate, they are his foundations and charities but he gives very little, if any, of his own money to it.

LOL No.  You label everything complaining.  It's fact.  I looked it up.  If people want to take the credit for being generous then they should actually be generous.  Not use another person's money and then take the credit for it.

I'm not going through this again.  You know he doesn't run his personal finances through me and that's just an idiotic statement to make.  I google things.  And no, I don't just look up ONE thing and believe it.  I look up MANY things.  Hundreds of things.  I've posted articles before.  You told me you didn't have time to read them or you didn't care or that the source was not credible.  I'm not doing this with you anymore.  I'm not stupid.  And I'm not a low information voter.  I study every candidate and their records and stances.  You vote your way, I'll vote my way.  But this is how I believe and making snarky little comments about him running his finances through me does nothing to make your argument stronger.

Here's a story to look up.Years and years ago...I think it was in my state, or maybe the last state I lived in The Donald broke down on the side of the road. A motorist stopped and helped him and his driver (I think ) out. He tracked this person down and paid their house off.

This is a false story.  Do some research on it.  This same story has been attributed to several stars.  I thought this was true too.  His son tells this story.  It's actually false.  Supposedly, I think Elizabeth Taylor, did the same thing.  This story has been attributed to a bunch of famous people.  It's one of those old stories floating around.

The good stories?  His foundations and charities do good things.  But it's not HIS money.  It's money other people have given.  Sure it's his name.  Has he made millions of billions of dollars?  Yep.  He sure has.  But not for the little people.  He's a big business.  He's about big business.  I don't begrudge him the fact that he makes money.  I just don't believe that someone who has spent his whole life looking out for rich people and making money off the little guy is going to look out for my needs.  No matter how great of a businessman he is.

Donald Trump: The Least Charitable Billionaire In The World

Although Donald Trump has described himself as an “ardent philanthropist,” he has only donated $3.7 million to his own foundation. In comparison, a wrestling company has given Trump’s foundation $5 million. He ranks among the least charitable billionaires in the world.

newsexaminer.net/politics/donald-trump-the-least-charitable-billionaire/

$3.7 million out of 10 billion.
He's a prince.

Well, let's take a look at our choices.

Trump - a selfish, arrogant ass who knows how to create jobs and make money.

Bernie - a nice old man who collected welfare until he became a politician and wants to take money from the earners to fund "FREE" for everyone. And has no idea how to spur and economy.

Hillary - a corrupt liar who cares about no one but herself, who causes deaths because she can't be bothered to do her job, and thinks national security is something for other people to comply with.

Cruz - an evangelical who also gives way too little to charity, and who looks like Grandpa Munster (don't know if I can look at that face for 4 years).

Rubio - a kid as inexperienced as Obama was, and way too easy on immigration.

The others are not really in the running, so no point in hashing their issues.

But trump does not know how to successfully run a business. He runs them into the ground. Three failed casinos in Atlantic city. Two are closed and one is failing badly. What jobs? He put thousands out of work with very little job placement assistance. He cut wages or he cut jobs and then offed the same job at half the pay. Many benefits were cut. Yes, I know people who worked there. This is their story.

Wow.  Really?  The Trump organization employs over 22,000 people and did 9.5 billion in revenue last year.  That does not count any of the jobs that are created by the "multiplier effect" which are companies not owned by Trump, but are able to exist because of him.  Further, he employs more female executives than men,and often pays them more.

And yes, he has had failures in Atlantic City.  As many people have - Atlantic City is not what it used to be.  When he closed that casino in 2014, it was 1000 jobs.

The notion that your taxes reflect your charity is bunk. There are a lot of ways to be charitable. I am on the School Board and spend hours in all kinds of meetings. I don't get a tax refund nor get paid a dime. I coach a YMCA youth Bball league and a 6th grade girls team. I don't get a tax refund or a dime. So I invest a lot of time into my community that wont show on a tax return.

Frankly, I don't give a lot of money to charities. I pay a hell of a lot of money in taxes. And, there is no way i am giving money to these phony baloney national charities. Charity begins at home, i invest in the community. I spend in the community and i contribute to the community. I also work for a living while half of this country sits on it's arse.

Yeah, I donate a lot to local charities as well.  All the clothes I divvy up between Goodwill and the shelters.  I have the two bedroom sets that I will give to the shelters that place people in apartments.  I did sell some of the pieces but most will go to the shelter.  Actually I have to call an arrange pickup today.

Yes, i send a ton of stuff to Goodwill. And, i don't get receipts. I just prefer to take the standard deduction on my taxes and it is a lot easier to do.

The local charity I support most is the refuge pregnancy center and most of that does not show up on my tax returns. When I'm out shopping, if I see a good deal on baby items, I just buy them and drop them off at the center. In addition to helping with food, formula, basic clothes and diapers, they have a store in the center where the girls can earn "baby bucks" by attending parenting classes and finishing school or getting a GED, then they use the baby bucks to buy the new stuff that is donated.

We still have Shriners that stand at intersections with buckets collecting change.

That's the local group I give most to.

They do a lot for the people right here.

On a side note, I have to wonder how much it is worth it to do that now.

People don't have loose change like they once did.
