I moved this past June and donated some really nice pieces of furniture to the Civics Club to use in their auction. Lots of ways to donate other than financial.

But, to get back to Trump, he has employed 1000's of people. Rubio hasn't created a single job. So, having a job is a far greater gift and service to society, than handing someone some free cheese. Think i will take that.

I found it hysterical when Romney chided the Don for his business failures, all the while Staple and Sports Authority stores are closing.

We still have Shriners that stand at intersections with buckets collecting change.

That's the local group I give most to.

They do a lot for the people right here.

On a side note, I have to wonder how much it is worth it to do that now.

People don't have loose change like they once did.

The Shriners is a wonderful organization.  I would donate cash to them.

Yeah, guess what Romney? Lots of business fail. At least he tried to revitalize Atlantic City. Yeah, some business ventures don't work out. But, obviously the Donald is still standing which is proof alone of his business skills. He asked Marco, how many jobs he created? Not a one.

Well no business person can be to blame when an industry falls out of favor as a destination.  NJ is not a good place for the Casinos to be sustained.  Its dirty and the towns have a hard time keeping crime out and the boardwalk and beaches clean.  It worked for many years until air travel became reasonable and easier to get to Las Vegas, which has a ton more to do.  The Atlantic City casinos have come to have to rely on the summer tourist.  A multi million dollar business can't survive on 3 months/year of tourism.  The casinos did well when it was a business convention destination but it is pricey to fly into Atlantic City and so attendees would have to drive from Philly airport.  That is a long drive.

A failing business does not make you a "bad businessman". Maybe in the world of do nothings who have no ideal how the real world and businesses work. You have to know when to cut your losses as well. A good businessman will have failed businesses and also learn when to not throw good money after bad.

Was Trump unaware that New Jersey had 9 months of bad weather?

The old biddies around here used to go in busloads to AC casinos in the winter so I'm pretty sure it wasn't only 3 months.

I visited the Taj probably 15 years ago and I'm pretty sure it's still there.

Selective reading much?  When the casinos were built there was a huge business convention bus potential and people could fly in, that went on for 20 or 30 years, and now that is gone.  Keep up with the cool kids and you might learn a bit about business.
