This is a nice video.  Nice tribute to the 16M American soldiers from WWII and one of the last left.  Not sure if it will post.  But here goes.

my uncle was a naval aviator in the pacific theatre--he said the stark feature of fighting there was that the Japanese had no intention of surrendering--it was a fight to the death (unlike the european theatre )

The Greatest Generation is almost gone now. Those brave and heroic men saved the whole world from dictators.

Yet so many are choosing to forget what those men fought and died for today.

Thanks for sharing.

DH's dad was a Pacific war veteran. He served three and a half years in the Pacific, he was one of eight to survive from his group off over 500 men.
