Been at the airport since 4:30. All three of us are sick. We should be home by noon. Fingers crossed we don't get diverted or delayed by the bad weather in Dallas.

We are sitting at the very front of the plane so we are trying to talk the pilot into just going to Florida instead. We have all our luggage and Bunny doesn't have school until Monday.

Bad storms just came through, Tang. 70 mph winds, hail, thunder, sideways rain.

You might be delayed for a bit.

It hit Fort Worth first. Dallas is going to get it in a few minutes.

Fingers crossed that you get home safe and sound.

I've been losing power off and on. If I disappear for a while, it's probably just a power outage.

(So far, no tornado warning. Straight line winds and bad thunder storms.)

Since I got bronchitis and pneumonia in Miami, let me recommend that you do NOT divert to Florida. cry

Wow! Stay safe, FWM!

Tang, have a safe trip! Scary to fly through sever thunderstorms, hope you don't have to do that.

Interesting morning here. DH left to get the grand's and there was a young yellow lab on our back deck. So of course, he brought her into the house. She is so friendly! The grand's wanted to keep her! Momma was desperate that we find it's home, since all strays gravitate to her home. ;)

Anyway, I posted a pic on FB, got several messages as to who she belonged to, and she is now in her home! So glad she is with her family! She is such a sweet thing, perfect for their little girls.

Hope you all have a great day. Ours sure started off great. :)

Yay! I'm glad you found her family!

What a happy ending!smile

Now I'm waiting for the repair man. It was the dishwasher leaking that has caused us a bunch of grief.cry

Oh well. Life goes on.

(P.S. No storm cellars in Texas, ed. We muddle through as best we can.)wink

A leaking hose? Or the dishwasher itself?

Glad you found the problem!

The water line into the dishwasher, I think. I'll know more when the repairman gets here, Czech.

A cracked water line is a big deal. Hope it's not under the slab. Good luck!

I started a new book on Sunday. I will finish it tonight. It's along the lines of Gone Girl and Girl on a Train. It's called The Widow and I CANNOT put it down.

I liked both of those books.  I may have to check out The Widow too.  I started reading Wool on Sunday.  I'm only about 100 pages in but so far I really like it.  Sci-fi is not usually my genre but it was highly recommended.

Me too.  I wish you would have posted this last night.  I needed a book and one of my friends on Facebook recommended Orphan Train so I went ahead and downloaded that.  Let us know how you like it when you're done.  smile

Oh my gosh...I am listening to Wool in my car.

I think I have the trilogy, since it's 15 CD's.

I'm really liking it.

Ugh. It's STORMING here. Thunder, lightening, pouring rain. Carlee is TERRIFIED of storms. It sent her into a tiny seizure. Literally like ten seconds. DH is on his way to the vet to get anti anxiety meds for her today since it's supposed to storm the whole day. Vet said the nerves from the storm probably set it off. DH was supposed to take SS fishing today. Not sure if that's happening.

I decided to try the first book & see where it goes.  Like I said not my usual genre so I didn't want to buy all 3 in case I didn't like the first one.  If the book continues along the same path I will probably invest in the others.

Those storms are supposed to roll through here Thursday or Friday.

I hope it holds off, kids have a half day Thursday. I'd like to maybe head to a park, have a picnic.

We are having temps in the upper 60s and real feel temps in the upper 70s. It gorgeous.

And the pollen counts are relatively low.

I was wrong. Today sucks.

Nurse called with my lab results. She was very brash about it. Just said my cholesterol was high and the dr wanted me to take meds and go to a dietitian. I had to ask what my numbers were! They are higher than last time and definitely higher than they should be, but I don't think I'm ready to take meds for it. I told the nurse I know what I'm supposed to be doing, I'm just not doing it, so no need for the dietitian. I am so utterly overwhelmed by life right now, I haven't been doing the things I should.

I'm so upset right now. I'm getting pulled in 300 directions at work and now this nurse. I just want to cry.

I have been working so hard to get ready to be gone for vacation. I know I fell off the wagon, so to speak, but I had already made myself a promise. Make it to vacation. Just some much needed relaxation. And get a fresh start when I return. This, coupled with a very annoying and demanding coworker, has me totally rattled

I have learned that doctors and nurses cannot "make" you take anything. Trust your instincts.

They can't.  All they can do is insist but if you refuse they can't make you take it.  Then they just have to document that they told you it was necessary and you refused.  That way you can't sue if something happens.

ahhh Tuesday...a beautiful day....sorta breezy (windy ) sunny with crystal blue skies and fluffy cotton candy clouds, and here I sit stuck inside ....

I can't believe time is going so fast, it is already almost mid March!

Hope everyone with struggles, feel strength to get through, and those with smiles and happy's continue to enjoy, those with storms and bad weather, be safe!

I have been so busy around here, I am not sure if I am coming or going.

around here gas got as low as $1.42 a gallon and this morning I noticed it is back to $1.59! Hoping this is good news for those who actually work in the oilfields and that have been off as rigs were stacked. IMHO it is time for a new and different administration~

Gas is back up to $1.79 here. You're lucky it still that low for you.

Summer and the holidays are coming, I think gas prices are predicted to be well over 2 dollars by April around here.

It was a bumpy ride, but we made it home! I just finished unpacking and started the first load of laundry. Time for pjs and a movie. Maybe a nap if I can get one. We had to get up at 3:30 to catch our plane.
