Pressure wrapping a dog is supposed to help. Check out Thunder Shirts.

A weighted blanket may help as well.

I'm glad you got home safely, Tang!

I hate bumpy plane rides.

I hope you can get in a nap.smile

My dog had to take sedatives during storms.  I found it worked best if I got it into his system before the thunder started so he never got overly worked up.

Gas is back up to $1.79 here. You're lucky it still that low for you.

Summer and the holidays are coming, I think gas prices are predicted to be well over 2 dollars by April around here.

well one of my co-workers just came back from town and they said they saw gas at $1.71.  I really do not mind it getting higher IF it is indeed helping the actual workers, not just those on top

Yay! I'm glad you found her family!

What a happy ending!smile

Now I'm waiting for the repair man. It was the dishwasher leaking that has caused us a bunch of grief.cry

Oh well. Life goes on.

(P.S. No storm cellars in Texas, ed. We muddle through as best we can.)wink

A leaking hose? Or the dishwasher itself?

Glad you found the problem!

The water line into the dishwasher, I think. I'll know more when the repairman gets here, Czech.

A cracked water line is a big deal. Hope it's not under the slab. Good luck!

No, it's a piece that connects the water to the dishwasher. It's part of the dishwasher. (No problem with the slab, thank goodness!)

It will take three to five days to get the part. So, I'm washing dishes the old fashioned way until it's fixed. (We have to leave the water to the dishwasher turned off....or it would leak 24/7 until it's fixed.)

I really admire the repairman that came to our house today.

He walks with a crutch. I asked him if he was okay, and he told me he had been hurt in the military.

He got down on the floor, checked out what was leaking, found the part he needed to order, etc.

My view of what all was going on was partially blocked by our kitchen island.

It wasn't until he was getting back up again, and putting his artificial leg back on, that I realized how badly he had been hurt. (I didn't see him take it off. I didn't know he had lost his leg, from the knee down.)

God Bless him. He doesn't let his disability stop him from earning a living.smile

You can get some good deals on those sites.  We have a vintage site here.  Just make sure you see it before you agree to buy it.

Good news, I have calmed down a bit since the call from the nurse. They did call in the prescription refills I needed, I had a mostly irrational fear that the doctor wouldn't prescribe my Ritalin if I didn't agree to the cholesterol med. I really need to start taking my Ritalin like I'm supposed to, that will probably be a help too. And I guess my vitamin D was super low, need to be taking that too.

Annoying and demanding coworker is still being annoying and demanding. I might have to shank her.

Wow FWM.  My plumber wears heavy knee pads when he gets down on the floor to work.  Imagine how many times a day your plumber has to take his leg on & off.  Maybe he was a plumber before he joined the military because it seems like an odd choice for a guy who has an injury like that.  But great for him that he's doing it.

I think you should grill & use paper plates until your dishwasher is fixed.  Not so many dishes that way.

I've had a nice day. 1/2 at work, 1/2 at a couple of doctors. Everything went smoothly. Voted on the town budget stuff too and fed DD and her friend. They are being soooo obnoxiously loud and DS called chit chatting. I wanted to scream "I HAVE STUFF TO DO AND DON"T HAVE TIME TO TALK! I think I am cranky now. Haven't hear from DS. Perhaps he was kidnapped over the w/e, not sure..

Okay question. The new Grease movie. Takes place in the 1950's when racism was rampant. But this is a totally non segregated school. You even have interracial couples. It's a bit...odd.

We set our goals high!  Or our days low.  Who knows.

I never should have learned how to access Netflix.

Is there a 12-step program?

If there is I don't want to know about it.

We have made trail mix.

Okay question. The new Grease movie. Takes place in the 1950's when racism was rampant. But this is a totally non segregated school. You even have interracial couples. It's a bit...odd.

The production was AMAZING.  The changes in the cast, not to much...

Perhaps he was kidnapped over the w/e, not sure..

you never know. Ohio is a dangerous place

Overall I was highly impressed with the remake.  Usually they fall very short.  This one was just as good in it's own way.  But the cast was not a good choice.
