Yeah, yeah, yeah.

You take that cheery tone back out the door missy.

I am just not in the mood for today yet. Not in a good or bad mood.

But right now, it could go either way lightening fast.

And apparently my boys don't quite appreciate the magnitude of this just yet this morning.

They don't want to get moving.

Can't really blame them though.

It's foggy, muggy and Friday.

Got the Don Williams song rambling around in my head.

Lord, I hope this day is good....

Morning All! Not goin to be as warm today as it has been but still supposed to be a nice day.

Job Fair today. I have my resume, personal statement (since I am changing fields completely) and security clearances. I look professional. A little nervous, I have not interviewed in 15 years and the job fair is sponsored by a local university so I anticipate lots of younger people.

I brought doughnuts into the office today. Lots of people helped getting those reports updated this week, so wanted to show my thanks. I try to do stuff like this, management doesn't do a very good job showing appreciation. So as management's assistant, I try to pick up some slack.

I've got some power points to update, print and bind today. But other than that, should be an easy day. Fingers crossed!

Had a good laugh this morning.

We go out to the van this morning and my son has a tiny bit of a hiss fit.

It lasted a whole .001 second and then he started taking pictures.

This was on the side mirror.

Spoiler

Ewww...what is that? Recluse or wolf?

Morning all. I ran to the store then put everything away, picked up the house, but the rat in the basement, and without a minute to spare, the cleaning ladies arrived. Now I can relax for a couple hours and get some work done.

The overnight rain stopped this morning - we've got both sunshine and puddles! (Puddles are very, very good in this neck of the woods!).

A new diner opened just down the road - DH and I will try it out today.

jlbear71, wishing you all the best at the job fair!  Sending positive thoughts and energy your way!

Have a busy Friday planned.  4 meetings today, 2 of them back-to-back right after lunch.  I only hope I can stay awake!

Had a follow-up doctor’s appointment yesterday after work. Lab numbers were normal except for blood sugar, which runs a bit elevated. I lost a couple pounds, but have maintained for the most.

I have been having arrhythmias more frequently and of course have been very tired (which I chalk up to just not sleeping well). Doc listened to my heart and will be scheduling an appointment with a cardiologist for me. (They wanted to do an EKG, but did not have a unit in the office). I already have runs of atrial fibrillation and supraventricular tachycardia, and doc thinks I may have some degree of heart block as well, as I am dropping every 3rd through 5th beat. The heart block would be a new diagnosis. Perhaps that explains the tiredness more than not getting enough sleep.

Have to get some cleaning done this weekend as well. The annual inspection of my apartment by the property manager is on Tuesday. I wish my unit did not have so many windows and screens to clean!

You have to clean your own apartment windows and screens?

I hope they figure out your heart irregularity!

 Neither.

Crayfish.

The thing was easily 2 inches long without its head.

RTL, if your heart doctor is like mine, you'll get the EKG, then wear a halter monitor for 3 days, then get a stress test and finally a heart Cath that may or may not lead to an immediate Stent placement if they actually find a blockage.

But, once it's done, you feel better almost immediately.

RTL, Hope they figure things out for you quickly.

Lily, it definitely looks like a crab/crawfish type critter.

Panera sounds better than the ramen that I just made and am waiting to cool down enough to eat.

I live in diner land. There are at least a dozen within a 8-10 mile radius. Most are good, some are just too run-down and tired since they have been there forever and have not updated since the 70s.

Job fair was good experience. Did not find anything that fits but there are several that could have potential. I did not expect much except for the experience. There were about 100 employers, everything from fast food to construction to military and policy to healthcare. I did get some nice chip clips, reusable grocery bags and highlighters.

Blackened catfish and the best mac & cheese I've ever had (served in a mini Crueset), with a ceasar salad that had yummy parmesan crisps.

That sounds very southern.  I've never eaten catfish & don't really think I want to.  I'm not much for fish.

Catfish is one of those things you either love or hate.

I don't know anyone who learned to like it.

I don't like it.

I'm not a big seafood person either.  But I did make shrimp risotto with asparagus the other day.  My DH who HATES asparagus LOVED it.

He is finally trying new things. I don't know his real mom well (she lives in Spain) so I don't really know how she cooks. I think a lot of things people dislike is often the way they were prepared.

YES!  We're having the Dukkah Chicken tonight.  I think every night my DH looks in the box and goes ewwwwwwwwwwwww.  Then I make it and he loves it!

I referred someone and got $20 off.  I wish you'd told me about that!  I could have gotten you some money off!

Have feed the poor child repeatedly! Why is he always hungry when grandma is around?

Had to buy food to feed myself, for some reason I can only find baby food around here..

It is also in the upper 70's! Took my sweater off for the first time in months!
