I must be insane. My goal today is to roast three chickens, debone them, shred or cube them, and make broth out of the bones.

Those are beautiful Karl. I'm allergic to them. But they're beautiful in the picture!

I'm allergic to many blooming things. A couple types of trees, dust, mold, and a mild dog allergy, and a mild ragweed allergy. I live in the third highest city in the US for allergies. When I moved here I spent a large part of the first year in bed with sinus infections. I had considered decapitation but it was pointed out to me that while that might free my body up from the pain my body might not be able to be free! So I went to an allergist instead. I think I made the right choice.

Can't sleep again. But thankfully not in pain! You would think I would finally be able to sleep.

For what it is worth, I had really bad allergic reactions to ragweed when I was in primary school. (No, not a one room school house) Our doctor recommended I see a Chiropractor and I did. After a few sessions of crunching and stretching/jerking my neck, etc., I got a lot of relief. This may be outdated now but it was believed at that time spine allignment caused a lot of allergies, etc.. Just pass it along to you...
just measured. 4" so far and coming down hard. Probably will end up with 6" . School has a delayed opening. I sent an email to my team saying I would be late and most have already responded that they will be late, if at all, as well.

I guess I'll stop whining about it being 45°.
Eh, 45 is brutal for your tender southern peeps wusses.
Happy first day of spring!

I just boil my chickens whole with my broth seasonings. Then i pull out the chicken and put in a baking sheet and it is very easy to tear apart. Then i seperate the meat. With the remaning broth, i strain it because i usually have whole onion, celery and carrots in it. Then i can the broth and chicken back together and add my noodles.
I love the cherry blossoms. Do those smell as amazing as the ones we had as kids?
Cherry trees would bloom, then the apple trees and then the peonies and lilacs. Our yard always smelled amazing.
Sorry some are having to deal with snow.
No snow here but it is 32 this morning. Around here, this is known as our Easter snap.
We still have blackberry winter to go.
Caitlyn is taking the boys to school for me this morning. I'm still unable to drive. Too much pain and stiffness. But it is better than it was.
I'm hungry.
Happy Monday ya'll.

For dumplings, soups and broth I do the same thing. I will pour the whole thing into a colander that is in a big bowl and start pulling chicken.
Roasting an average chicken, 3-5 pounds, isn't had either.
I can roast four in my oven at one time.
2 in each pan, a pan on each rack.
Takes about 2 hours, give or take.

This is going to be a busy week but it will go fast.
Looking forward to Easter. My dad will have a LOT of fun hiding eggs for DS.
We celebrated Easter with the in-laws yesterday. MIL hid eggs for DS. He had fun finding them all. DH and I walked up to the Jamba Juice that's about a block from their house and came back to DS sitting on the couch looking dazed. Apparently, he had ran face first into the wall while we were gone. FIL was in freak-out mode. MIL showed us the minute amount of blood on the napkin. We assured them DS was fine and, as if on cue, he hopped off the couch and started racing around the living room. I fully expect to find that wall gone or extremely padded when we visit next. DH tripped over the fireplace and cut his head at their previous house when he was a kid and FIL ripped out the fireplace. I told MIL she would have a heart attack if she was around DS on a daily basis. The child is such a daredevil. We're currently working on breaking him from jumping off the back of the couch.
It took way less time to get through security at the airport. So I have plenty of time to wait in the airport. One good thing, at 9 am you're not forced to eat breakfast :)

They sound like my parents. My nephew fell on the corner of a fireplace and had to get stich especially so even though they padded the fireplace whenever he came over. Hope your little guy is having a fun Easter.
FNW, when my kids were little, it seemed every school break, one of them were sick.
Hope #2 gets better soon.

When my brother was about his age he did a swan dive off the back of the sofa. My parents thought he broke his neck. Thankfully he did not but he landed with his neck back with his jaw on the floor. All under his chin & neck was black & purple for a long time. I think that broke the habit for him.

Oh heck yes!
A few years ago, we were returning from Kauai and flew into Denver, landing about 7 a.m. I nearly sobbed from joy to find a Chinese place open!

IVY. Go ahead and apply pressure to the pressure point between your thumb and index finger, and close your eyes and think of puppies frolicking in a meadow.

Dentist was fine. Have to go back Wednesday for the torture. Made it home in time for dishwasher installer. A part is missing. Didn't discover this till new one was put in. Now they are headed back to Lowe's for another dishwasher. Sigh..
I had to take Aaron to the doctor, nothing wrong just a checkup, but I came home to a clean kitchen, I mean spotless. And a clean dining room and dinner almost done.
I am so blessed.

FNW, kids always pick the best times to get sick, not! Hope you are still able to go on vacation and that your son is well enough to travel.
SB, IVY. I hate the dentist.
Chef, our 16 month old DGS took a dive off a kitchen chair yesterday morning. I swear his head bounced. Dad picked him up, checked for a bump and sent him on his way to play. His cry lasted all of 15 seconds. Kids are darn tough.
MM, you must have a late shift today. Hate them.
DG, are you home yet?
Hi LL, flan, momala, Lily, NJN, Trudy, Lexxy, Lindley, Welts, LGS, IKWTDS and Blankie!
My one accomplishment for the day.... bought a new toilet seat.

Better then barely making your flight because security has long lines!

And this is why I love the 24 hour diners around here. I can get breakfast at 11:00 pm and a cheese steak or burger at 7:30 am. Even some of the sit-down deli's here serve their menu all day long.
