I have to go back for a follow-up mammogram. This is a busy week for me, so it may have to wait until Friday.

Wow! That sounds way more juicy than mine SB. My boss was most likely fired for being a jackass, that's not nearly as exciting.

I'm off to work. I'm excited to see what the day holds. This president is one that if you impress him, good things happen. And not just him keeping you for himself like the last one lol. I have also heard he is wildly protective of his assistant, which hopefully will mean I'm not pulled in a million directions and working 60 hours a week. That would be nice.

Toodles all!

Washing table cloths today.

Trying to find a place to put all this stuff from Saturday.

Gonna try to get the house back in shape.

It's 32 again this morning.

Now if I could just get my knee to bend.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Welcome to the land where you can get sunburn and frostbite in the same week.

It was in the 70's yesterday. Today we are expecting 3 to 6 inches of snow. Yup, that's our life in the Midwest.

IKWTDS, what is happening to your former PM?

DG and SB, what?

Flan, I hope the next mammo comes back normal.

Trudy, I agree. Mother Nature make up your mind!

Good morning LL, TD and Lily!

Good morning, Czech. Yes, the weather is nuts. 80s last week, and frost on my car windows this morning.

Is there a car talk today? I don't remember when they normally get posted, but it seems like a while.
I love reading them. Ed just needs to get better so he can post one.

Yep.  I had to scrape the windows this morning, and yet it will get up to 71 today.  We've had to switch between air conditioning and heat in the same day this past weekend.

I called the mammogram place, who told me to call my doctor. I did my programs, then left a message with my doctor's nurse, who *gasp* called me back to say that they had ALREADY faxed his instructions over on Saturday.

I really needed this today...

Oh my..

Yeah, that sounds scary.  However, remember that -

According to the American Cancer Society, about 10% of women who have a mammogram will be called back for more tests. But only 8% to 10% of those women will need a biopsy and 80% of those biopsies turn out be benign.

That means out of 1000 women that have to go back for more tests, 980 do not turn out to have breast cancer.

My appointment is for Friday morning. It's my own fault for not getting a yearly mammogram like I should have.

But thanks. I'm trying not to dwell on it.

Guess how old my mom was when she was diagnosed with breast cancer? Yup.

At least on my end, you missed that while I was away on vacation, my boss got fired. And my company has a new (or old) president. The guy my boss replaced is actually back. He had been moved to another division of the company and now they moved him back. I was actually kind of excited for this new challenge. However, I was told this morning that the greater need is in our sales department and I am being moved back to customer service rep. I haven't quite sorted out exactly how I feel about this. I'm glad I still have a job. I'm going with that for now.

The irony is, it is within days of being exactly 1 year that I was moved out of customer service in the first place. They should have just left well enough alone.

flan, do not stress over this!  When my doctor sent me for my first mammogram they found a "lump".  DH was ready to sent me to  chemo.  But, as a nurse, I knew the statistics LL has pointed out.  I did not stress.  When I went back and the follow up tests that found that the "lump" was a mass of fat cells.

My boss was good to me. But it was time for him to move on. He made everyone else miserable. I am trying to embrace the move. It's all I can do. And there was a part of me that missed customer service. I'm just still absorbing it all

Wow what a turn of events DG. Nobody saw this coming? Glad you still have a job.

Czech I hope they get his fever under control soon.

Flan, I'm keeping good thoughts for you. On another note I finished Wool this weekend & immediately went & ordered the other two books. I liked it that much. Book two sounds a little weird though. I may end up skipping it & going right to book three.

I was wondering if you had finished. I am just starting the section where Juliette meets Solo, which is more interesting than events at the other silo.

I loved when she met Solo. I can't remember exactly what was going on in the other silo at that point but from here on it flips back & forth keeping up with both silos. I found both interesting.

I've never had a doctor not recommend that.  Did it with my kids, Dr told DD to do it with her kids.   It standard practice here...

Although there are a multitude of ways in which acetaminophen and ibuprofen can be alternated, the most common method cited was to recommend giving acetaminophen every 4 hours and ibuprofen every 6 hours. However, Mayoral et al. noted that this regimen can be confusing to parents and can ultimately lead to double dosing. In addition, due to the pharmacokinetics of both ibuprofen and acetaminophen, combining the two medications in an alternating fashion may produce a synergistic effect on the kidneys and cause renal tubular toxicity

http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/464566_3

If it was more effective, they'd use that method on pediatric units, but they don't.
