Which computer should i buy!!

OK, my dell computer bit the dust.  And, i was a dummy and bought a warranty when i purchased it.  Well Lo and behold it was still under warranty, lol.   And, with a lot of phone calls and whining, they finally just paid me the full amount of the computer in the form of an Amazon gift card.  So, here are the two specs.  I dont' know a darn thing about computers so help me out:

1.

HP Pavilion 23-q140 23-Inch All-in-One Desktop (AMD A10, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD)

2.

HP Pavilion 23-q120 23-Inch All-in-One Desktop (Intel Core i3, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD)

DH (who works in IT) prefers an Intel processor over AMD. And unless you are doing a lot of gaming, 4 GB of ram is good. You can always add more if needed.  But 1 TB is a large hard drive

Edited because I cannot form a coherent thought this morning

I don't know that I'd get the AMD processor over an Intel.

 Not YOU, the people you are buying it from.  Lots of times when buying a computer, it will offer "upgrades" to add to the purchase.

 I am buying it from Amazon.

I would go with choice #2.  You can always purchase and install more RAM later.  If you are buying from Amazon, you get what is described.  I have a friend whom I have known for 20+ years who is an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), and I ask his opinions on computer-related purchases.  He also does my tech support.  So far, he has not steered me wrong.  He prefers Intel processors.

Hope this helps in some way.

Intel over AMD. Always.

I say buy the Intel and see if it has enough RAM for your needs, then, if it doesn't, adding RAM is pretty easy.

Without reading the thread, I think ...

AMD and Intel are both fine;

8GB of random access memory is WAY better then 4 GB.

More after I read the rest.
