My brother retired from his career in Labor Law, defending corporations and governments from unscrupulous disability claimants.

He is now a Republican Organizer is his major city in a major Red State.

 

I asked him about Trump, he said,

"Trump is a mile wide and an inch thick."

 

Any thoughts?

I didn't know what that meant so I looked the saying up in the Urban Dictionary. Here it is:

He may be a mile wade and only an inch deep, but at least he's a different flavor. All the other politicians are the same mile wide and inch deep as well, so the different flavor is a change. Whether that change would be good or bad is yet to be determined. Keeping up the status quo however, we know to be bad.

I don't think the left has anything to do with it. The Republicans are having a hey day with their own people. To be honest, neither party is in all that great of a shape.
