Sure you can. Have a baby or kill it. Pretending it's not even human yet fits right in with that non-believing

Isn't it great that you could make that decision FOR YOU, and I can make a different decision FOR ME?

You have spoken of your disabled son before. Would you have aborted him if you had known of the problems he has?

Nope. He's high-functioning autistic, but I don't really consider him disabled.
He's doing very well now.

So, one more time with feeling....isn't it great we could make the choices that are right for us?

Sure, if you are selfish and soulless, I guess it is great. Thankfully, there are people that don't embrace murdering their children.

Just can't admit what those choices really are though can you. Have a baby (even if put up for adoption) or kill it. Is there a third choice that I haven't heard of?

I have no idea what you're babbling about.

Every woman should have the choice that's right FOR HER.

So you are saying that I am soulless and I murdered my child?

i suppose you are entitled to think whatever you wish. Please keep in mind that it is possible that you are wrong.

Thank god you don't get to decide what others do with their bodies.

That didn't answer the question. What are those choices you think are ok for a woman to make? Is it have the baby or kill it or is there some other choice? You're all worried about animals being killed but killing humans seems to be alright with you.

In your situation,  I would not have chosen your path, but I can understand your decision, even though I disagree.

Welts has said she would gladly assist in a late term abortion just because a woman decided she didnt want to have a child after all.

That is soulless...

I feel that  humans should have control over their own lives and deaths, and not leave it up to some church.

Yes, a woman should have the choice to carry to term, to keep it, to give it up for adoption, to hand it over at a police station or to abort it.

Unfortunately, this is a very true statistic.  A huge amount of them end in divorce.  Having a special needs child puts a strain on a marriage no one but another couple with a special needs child can understand.

That is true.  And, a good point.  Very hard to do alone, no question.

flan is right.  The siblings are affected too.  My DH and I don't think about college for our son.  We think about who will care for him when we die.  He will never live on his own.    It does put stress on our marriage because we know we'll never be at the point where we can just pick up and take off on vacation.  We'll always have to have someone to watch our son.  And truly, no one wants that job.  If you want to see who your true friends are have a special needs child.  You will learn quickly.

I just gave you a bunch of choices. You even quoted them.

No. What I said was there were only two choices. Give birth or kill it. My question was what do you call the second option to make it ok in your mind.

Besides, all those innocent little baby souls will float heavenward straight into the loving arms of Jesus.

Except when it is. Some abortions are indeed considered murder. Just a couple of months ago, a woman was charged with murder because she tried to self abort.

So, sometimes, yes, it IS murder.

Of course we do...to an extent. There are restrictions. Abortion isnt a free for all. If it truly was up.yo the mother, there would be no restrictions.  And those are getting tighter every day....

Well, it sure looks like they do! "Bad" laws not withstanding, thats exactly why abortion laws are on the books. Society as a whole has a responsibility to protect the most vulnerable...unfortunately,  from their own "mothers".

Pretty sad society where women are forced to give birth by the sanctimonious, who then pi$$ and moan about giving the family welfare to put a roof over their heads, keeping them clothed and giving them free hot school lunches.

The whining never stops.

And yes, that same old line.
The right howls about the precious, precious life in utero, but doesn't give a crap what happens to it after it's born.

The kid isn't going to go hungry.

Old argument.

But you want to have sex? Use birth control.

Get pregnant? Be responsible for the life you are carrying.
