A male friend of mine is graduating nursing school. When he did his L&D rotation he expressed an interest in working in that department. The manager told him she does not hire male labor nurses.
This makes no sense. Number one it's sexual discrimination. Most of our docs are male, it's called being a professional and doing your job. There are at least two lesbian nurses in that department, what's the difference?
Would you really care if your nurse were male or female? Straight or not?
I don't think I would care as long as everyone around me KEEPS THEIR MOUTH SHUT. I don't like to be touched or spoken to when I am in lain or focused.
I told everyone in the room to shut up around hour 10. I couldn't stand the noise.
I also run everyone out for a little while.
It was just way overwhelming.

No big deal.

I never cared one way or the other. My OB doc was male and he was great. In fact, he saved my life. I don't feel uncomfortable with male doctors or nurses. Everyone has the same parts so I don't see it as an issue. I mean if you do, then you certainly can request a female nurse or female doctor.
My bestie is a male nurse. Gay. Well, he carries combs, brushes, lip balms, moisturizers, etc. to perk anyone up. He goes an extra mile. People adore him.

I prefer female doctors and nurses. I would have asked for a different nurse if they presented a male nurse to me in early labor when they are constantly checking you. When it was time to push I probably could have cared less who was in the room.

I prefer female doctors and nurses for anything to do with ob/gyn, but a male nurse isn't any worse than a male doctor.

Did you want me to help you get that started?" I was like "ahhhhhh no I dont need a shower today. Thanks tho. Just cancel that request. I will do it myself."
The only male doctor I didn't want was one of the obstetricians at my office.
He has HUGE hands. HUGE.
But the worst gynecologist I ever had was a female.
She hurt me. She was rough and almost seemed callous in her exams.

Is STARS a part of the high end cable companies? Honestly, I dont know how in the world they got away with some of the stuff they put on that show. But my oh my they have killer chemistry!

Our male nurses will tell the patient they can request a female if anything makes them uncomfortable.
My last trip to the ER I became that mom who tries to set her daughter up.
My nurse was a real cutie.
