I am so cold! When it gets "warmer" my mom leaves her door to the yard open all night so her elderly dog can go out whenever he needs to. Not a big deal - - - except when "warmer" is 31 degrees! It is freezing in this house!

Can they install a doggie door?

It's a glass door, so it could be done, but more complicated. And honestly, he probably couldn't get through it, he's 16 and doesn't walk so well anymore

Here. First day back in the office. Six voicemail messages, all from the same woman. Who knew I was out on leave. Ugh.
FNW - I've gotten to the point that when I'm out on leave, I change my messages to say that I am out - please contact me after -date-. I no longer say I will get back to them when I return.

I was cleaning off the top of the microwave & found an AMC gift card. The good news is that it still has $25 on it.

So what are we going to see? I really want to see that new movie Miracles from Heaven. The family lives in my hometown. It was filmed in GA though. DH and I watched Creed, Concussion with Will Smith, and Exposed last night. Don't bother with Exposed. Creed was really good. Concussion was excellent.

Oh Lindley! So sorry. I hope you're feeling better! What was wrong? With you AND your internet?

The only one of those I want to see is Concussion. I had to look up Exposed...blergh! I started Sicario last week, but it's just not something I wanted to watch, even though it got good reviews.
I just cannot stomach Sly Stallone...sorry. I may watch Cake this afternoon. (I know it's not brand new.)
I'm feeling better. Had a cold that my DIL, son, grandson and I all shared for Easter. Husband called CenturyLink to change something concerning our phone lines and they turned it off Friday and then called today saying that it was impossible to hook it back up. My husband called and low and behold we got it back.

Concussion was great. Excellent. I am not a Will Smith fan either. But totally worth it. Creed was actually really good. Sad sometimes but good. I could have lived without seeing Exposed. I loved Sicario. I was surprised by it but really liked it. Cake was a total disappointment.

Good afternoon , I haven't had Internet for almost a week. I've also been sick. Hope everyone has had a Happy Easter!
I hope you feel better.
Thank you, still have a cough but feeling much better.
And I'm glad your internet is back. The thought of being stuck home sick with no internet or Netflix is just horrible.
That IS horrible. I'm sorry your family felt like they had to share their illness.

So I was clueless. An attorney I've dealt with on many different issues has been dead for several months. Last time I talked to him about something was September and he died in November. I saw his name on something and needed to call him, only to find out he's dead. He was only 44 and died of a heart attack! I don't know how I missed his obituary and funeral.

Sorry LL, that is always a brutal shock. I've had it happen with clients. We tease my boss because she always reads the local obits but it makes sense in it's own way. And 44 seems so young.

So, that's another thing. If young people die, why can they put how in the obituary? Wouldn't that be helpful? Then you don't have to ask people, "How did he die? He was so young."
If I die young, I want my obituary to say why. "She lost a game of chicken with a train." Wouldn't that be more interesting?

Sometimes when people die young like that it is because they have lost the battle with the bottle or with pills. Or committed suicide in some way. Not always, but sometimes. I can understand a family not wanting that in the obit.

Been going at it since 6. I am taking a break. Have one last call at 4.
The flooring is done! well except for one room where they came up short, luckily it's the spare room and I have no company coming for a few weeks. Lowe's screwed up on the calculations for how many boxes of wood, the measurements were fine. They are trying to get me to pay for the extra. Not happening, they have the square footage on my invoice that I already paid.

But think about the life warning. "She died because she was texting and driving."

I was behind a car the other day whose license plate said no texting. I can't remember how it was abbreviated but it was obvious that is what it said. I guess they didn't want to get rear ended by someone texting behind them.

Much better to get rear ended by someone too focused on trying to figure out what the license plate said.
