It is an American company. There is no reason for them to have to scramble to meet your laws or face that heavy a penalty. They are being prudent.

It's no different than trade with any other country. Many of China's products can't be sold here because of our regulations, and many of our products can't be in Europe b/c of their regulations.

Your regulations have caused Canadian participation to not be a worthwhile venture.

And one of the reasons that it had a delayed effect - a lot of times not everyone becomes aware of the laws until there are actually actions of enforcement. Several came down at the end of 2015.

Businesses were fined $150,000-$200,000 b/c they didn't have "express consents" to email on file, and because their unsubscribe buttons didn't always work or people didn't receive confirmation of the unsubscribe within 10 days.

You are going to get people with a "better safe than sorry" attitude. Too bad, so sad. It's a Canadian law. American companies have enough American laws to contend and comply with.

Outlander (historical / romance / time travel / warfare / sex / you will fall in love with scottish / tv show as good as if not better than the books)
The walking dead (how society would behave if presented with a situation where everything that we know collapses.... + zombies)
Fear the walking dead (how society would behave if presented with a situation where everything that we know collapses.... + zombies)
Talking dead (TALKING about zombies)
Amazing Race (teams race around the world and are bumped off if they come in last. last team standing wins a million bucks)
Banshee (Sex / violence / sex / drugs / sex / mobs / sex / testosterone / and a little bit of sex)
Vampire Diaries (stupid teen drama, but I am still mildly interested in it so I keep recording it and watching it)
Billions (BRILLIANT show about the fight between the wall street traders and the law that wants to prosecute them. I hate shows that make you think too much but this one is effing BRILLIANT!)
Limitless (TV show spin off from the movie with the same awesome quirks as the movie. WITH added bonus of Bradley Cooper guest appearing once in a while)
Restaurant impossible (cuz I like seeing the designs at the end of the show)
House of Cards (White house drama - I think is based on the clintons - again, I hate shows that force you to think, but this is brilliantly written! WOOT KEVEN Spacey! )
The biggest loser (Cuz I like seeing the transformations at the end of the season)
Colony (Aliens took over the major cities and built walls so people cant get out. Some are fighting it, some are complying and helping them.)
Humans ( robots that look like humans - a few are actually self aware but are in hiding)
The last ship (virus outbreak kills most of the population - surviving and trying to find an antidote)
Wayward pines (Why is leaving town so flipping impossible?! Why are these people trapped here?! OMG WWAAAT?)
The messengers (Humans turned angels trying to stop the 4 horseman from bringing the apocalypse )
Game of thrones (is anyone NOT watching this?)

So yeah... my dvr manager is pretty full.

"Game of thrones (is anyone NOT watching this?)"

I'm not. Not really a huge fan of a series, that if you skip several episodes, you have no idea what's going on.
I'm often out in the evening, or working. I guess I could "tape" it, but if I did that with all the shows I like, I'd never get my a$$ off the couch.

Oh...and I really like Marketplace.

Marketplace is an award-winning Canadian television series, broadcast on CBC Television. The series is a consumer advocacy newsmagazine, which airs investigative reports on issues such as product testing, health and safety, fraudulent business practices and other news issues of interest to product and service consumers.
The program is in its 43 season, which began in October 2015.

Oooohhh Tiny... I do LOVE the Pioneer Woman. I bought her measuring bowl set 4 times already! I got a set for myself and gave the rest as gifts. My daughter got a set in her Easter Basket along with a set of her dish towels and pot holders.

I got her dutch oven for Christmas. I'm pretty sure I'm getting her cast iron pan set for my anniversary. At least I really hope so. It's got this little set of cast iron pans about 4" wide. I can already taste the little pan brownies I'll make.

Those are beautiful. I love that she makes dishes that I'll actually make. Some of these chefs must have every ingredient in the world to make the stuff they do. She has the best pantry. That is one of my greatest compliments...lol

I got her speckled non-stick pots and pans set in black.  It came with a small cast iron skillet.  I love them!

Yes.  They are great but I got mine the beginning of February so I haven't had them really long.  Love them so far... and nothing sticks!

I will definitely try those beef sandwiches!  I used Tyler Florence's recipe when I made French onion soup and it was fantastic.  I will have to try hers.  Thanks for the suggestions!  Here's a pic of my soup before I melted the first round of cheese.  lol!

I looked for her stuff on Amazon and  Walmart has it much cheaper if they carry it.  They are getting more stuff as time goes on.  At my store, the measuring bowls are selling out like hotcakes thanks to me!  I noticed last time I was there, they were stocked.  I'm probably going to buy another set to give to my best friend.

I have this pitcher and 10 , 16 ounce glasses from my grandmother that I would LOVE to design a kitchen around.

69d2ffbab837927b4610c8b1a63fd5ba.jpg

It's from the 50s.

I also have every piece of carnival glass my grandmother owns coming to me someday. (I'm in NO hurry)

I'm talking everything from finger bowls to serving platers.

And several decorative pieces like vases and paper weights.

I don't know what I'm going to do with that.

Can you even use them?
