What is the trim on that wall for?

 Plumbing access.  I had holes cut in the walls when I bought the house to access all the plumbing in the bathrooms.  Never had to use it, but easy to open if I have to.  Plus if DD acts up or I have bodies to hide...

Yep. Had to wait until she was old enough to take care of it.  She loves it.  Her set is maple, the set in the spare room is pine, I wouldn't normally buy pine but it won't be used much so will hold up and it looks really great and it was sooooo inexpensive.

Caitlyn is using my mom and dad's dresser and chest of drawers they bought 50 years ago.

The boys have a set from 30 years ago and my bedroom suit is 25 years old.

Quality stuff is worth it.
