When  I went to the hospital, I had two charging cables for Apple devices,

one for the iPhone and one for the iPad. Now I can find only one.

 

DS1 told me these are called "lightning" cables, and to look for them in Amazon.com .

Success, they're there and inexpensive.

Ordered two last night, they're scheduled to arrive in today's mail.

Groupon always has deals on lightening cables. They are really cheap now.
