I actually feel a bit better today. I'm off so I can get plenty of rest. I see my regular doctor Tuesday (follow up to my physical last month). I'd rather go to him than one of the Med Check places.

It was nice! I enjoyed meeting up with my peers. I made some good connections for those moments at work when you need to stop and phone-a-friend to see if you are crazy or not. Lol. I am happy to be going home though. It was all people all the time. I am over that part.

You really should.

It takes maybe 10 minutes once a month.

Most cancers are found through self exams.

Pick a day, I chose the 24th.

Make it a habit.

This coming from the granddaughter of a breast cancer survivor.

And I'm the daughter of a woman who died from breast cancer.

I would probably be freaking out over every bump I felt. For the next 2 years, I'll be getting a mammogram every 6 months.

Got a good surprise at work. We got our bonuses for 2015. I honestly didn't know if we would get anything, and if we did, I figured it would be a nominal amount. Well, it was about 4 times what I was expecting. I'm a happy girl today!

I'm thankful today is a vacation day so I didn't have to miss work. Poor dad, he's so looking forward to his cataract surgery in 12 days so he can enjoy reading his westerns again... Not sure it will happen. cry

Dad had an ultrasound and he definitely has clots in his right leg, above and below the knee. Because of his history of bleeding stroke, they have opted for the screen (and probably BP meds, it is way too high). I'll know more tomorrow. He was admitted and I'm glad. He also had a CT scan and I'll learn the results tomorrow.

His little lap dog is sitting by the door, waiting for him.

Well, this ought to be interesting. My uncle told me he's taking DS with him and my dad to a Raiders convention tomorrow. I'm sure DS will have fun. His uncle will have fun keeping up with him. I think I'll use the time to catch up on the shows I missed while DH and I were vacation.
