We got rained out half way through our Adopt-a-highway project. One minute the sun was shining, and the next we were drenched! Now we'll have to find another Saturday when most of us are available. Its both sides of the highway, for just over a mile, and I couldn't believe the amount of trash that was strewn about. Over 30 HUGE bags! And we didn't even put the tires or boards in the bags. Can you imagine what we might have collected if we had had the full morning?
That reminds me. I found two tires in the woods in my back yard and need to find a place that will take them.
Good luck with that, unless you're willing to pay.
Tire dealers pay to have the used tires taken away.
That's why you found them in your yard.

I know that Ed. Just need to call a few tire places and see if I can pay them to take them. I'm thinking $5 each. Since the popularity of rubber "mulch" for playgrounds has grown, it shouldn't be too hard to find a place to take them...I hope
