Body parts including a foot and a head found dumped in a recycling bin in Seattle this weekend belong to a mother-of-three who disappeared after going on a date with a man she met online, police have said.

Ingrid Lyne, 40, was last seen leaving to attend the Seattle Mariners opening game with a date on Friday, and raised alarms when she didn't pick up her children the next morning.

Her remains, wrapped in plastic bags, were still 'fresh' when they were recovered on Saturday afternoon in a neighborhood about 2.7miles away from Safeco Stadium, an officer said.

Among the three packages found was Lyne's head, which allowed police to identify her, a law enforcement source told the Seattle Times

Suspect John Robert Charlton, 37, who police believe was the man Lyne was meeting, was booked in jail on Monday afternoon while police investigate her murder.

'All evidence leads in the direction of that missing woman,' Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O'Toole said at a news conference on Monday night.

Lyne's ex-husband, whom she divorced in 2014, reported she was missing at 10.10am on Saturday when she didn't pick up her kids as they had planned, police said.

Worried friends had circulated photographs of both Lyne and Charlton on Facebook in hopes of tracking them down, and Charlton listed that he started school at 'All OF Them' on his Facebook page on Saturday at 10.21am, after the 40-year-old was already reported missing.

A search warrant was issued, and evidence such as telephone call records led detectives to Charlton, who was arrested in Snohomish County, just north of Seattle, WREG reported.

Police believe the 37-year-old man, who was booked into King County Jail Monday afternoon on the investigation of homicide, was the man who took Lyne on a date. They do not believe there are additional suspects, the local news site reported.

Charlton was previously convicted for misdemeanors of assault and battery, the Seattle Times reported. He was also found guilty of theft and the possession of marijuana.

Police desperately searched for Lyne, who worked as a nurse at the Swedish Medical Center, after friends reported she was missing on Saturday morning.

Police broke into her Renton, Washington home and found her purse and cellphone there. Her silver 2015 Toyota Highlander, with the plate number AUW3230, has also been recovered after it was reported stolen.

Three of Lyne's body parts were packaged in plastic bags and found in the recycling bin outside a 21st Ave and E. Pine Street home at 4pm on Saturday.

The homeowner called 911 and homicide detectives and medical examiners confirmed the man's initial suspicions that the packages included human remains.

The body parts, which Seattle Police Sergeant Mike Renner said were still 'fresh' upon discovery, were taken to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

On Saturday night, homicide detectives learned that a missing persons report was filed that morning, and police identified the victim as Lyne based on photographs they obtained.

Investigators said there is 'no reason to believe that there's any question of the victim's identity', but the King County Medical Examiner’s Office will not confirm this until after an autopsy is performed.

Authorities believe Charlton was the man who Lyne was meeting on a date, and no other suspects are being pursued

A Seattle homeowner found the packages at 4pm on Saturday, and called 911. A law enforcement source told the Seattle Times police could identify her by her head

'All evidence leads in the direction of that missing woman,' Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O'Toole (pictured) said at a news conference on Monday night

The investigation is ongoing, and Charlton has not been charged. His is currently held under a 'homicide investigation' with bail denied.

Neighbor Edward Franceschina, 74, says he last saw Lyne, who has three young daughters aged eight to 12, on Friday afternoon, checking her mail.

He said police detectives searched her house around 12.30am Sunday, and spoke to a resident down the street with a security camera.

It is unclear which dating site Lyne was using when she met Charlton. She divorced from her husband in 2014.

Lyne's three children are currently staying with a family friend

But it's how you meet people today. Obviously, one has to be very careful--but meeting someone in a bar, or anywhere, really, could have the same result.

She wasn't careful enough, but I'm sure she's not some stupid woman, just too trusting and it had a tragic outcome.

That's a good thing.  If you understood it, you would be depraved.

Now, this guy DESERVES to be chopped into pieces while awake with no anesthesia. Of course, criminals don't get what they deserve, they get mercy that was never even a consideration for their victims.

It sounds like he may have followed her home.
But really, it sounds like she didn't do to badly. A public place for a firsts date it what you are supposed to do. A ballgame should have been safe.
What a sad story.

Oh but we can't even talk about that.  We must show compassion for the murderer here.  No one is supposed to care about the victim.

So that somehow excuses the ones that are?  Since American citizens commit murders, it's perfectlynok for us to bring in refugees and immigrants to do so?

That is some fvcked up illogic.

What a tragic story. It sounds like she made it back home safely but the article doesn't say anything about her home being the crime scene. There seems to be a lot missing from the article.

Because the article about the murdered Texas student implied that "This is what happens when we let immigrants come here."

I read absolutely nothing about this man being an immigrant in the article. Not sure where you got that from, because I see no implication towards immigrants whatsoever.

You went straight to the leftist agenda.

I have NO agenda, Lily. I can actually...wait for it...think for MYSELF.

I don't rely on a book or a group to tell me how to feel & what to believe.

I need to show this article to a young lady at work. She was telling me she just moved in with her best friend and she brings men home almost daily. She finds guys on dating sites. Coworker is a sweet girl and has a four year old son. I told her yesterday she needed to move. She said she knew her BFF was easy but had no clue she was this bad. Her friend said she's had over 250 different men. Yuck.

Ugh SB. Your coworker really needs to move. If not for herself then for her son.

Yeah, that sounds like a dangerous situation and the young child should not be exposed to it. If for no other reason, to try to instill some moral values. Children should not be raised to think it's normal to see "Auntie so and so" with so many different men.

You're very first post to this thread was not to say how horrible the crime was. You didn't express sympathy for the victim's(the one murdered is the victim in case you are confused) family.

You went straight to the leftist agenda.

This was husker's first post on the murdered college student thread.

Not saying how horrible the crime was.

No sympathy for the victim.

"But remember it's a good thing to take in refugees and immigrants."

Why didn't you bash him?

Oh, I know! He's not flan.

Common liberal answer.  Deflect to someone else's wrong as if it excuses this one.
