I took French. While my tongue is rusty, I can still read it ok.

I remember some German from my friend and Jesse is using frequently.

Spanish? I can find a bathroom, order some food and not get into trouble.

I need to go back to bed. I didn't get to bed until after 1am. Then friend texts me a picture of her plane at 2:30am. Sometime around 5, the landline rings. Then at 6, my sister texts a picture of her on the Great Wall in China. I'm a little groggy

I haven't watched Survivor yet. I had a friend call last night & we talked for over an hour & it was too late to start. I'll catch up over the weekend.

Let's see. I made it through 3 CD's, I think & it went from the planning of the silos to the beginning of silo life. I couldn't get interested in either story. I may try again.

I had a couple of books to recommend to you: "The Three," by Sarah Lotz. I finished that last night. Four commercial jets crash & 3 kids survive. What/who are they?

She's also written "Day Four," which I started this morning.

I'll try to remember that title. I'm set for books at the moment. My aunt is living with my mom for a bit. She is a voracious reader. She passes along her books to me. Not all of them appeal to me but a lot of them are good & outside my usual genre so it has expanded my horizons a bit.

I can still concentrate on a book thankfully. I'd be a wreck if I couldn't read. I don't think I'd have the attention span to do audio books. My mind would just wander & all I'd hear was blah, blah, blah.

It certainly depends on the book...that was what kept happening with Wool.

I have a 30-minute commute & it helps. I listen to a lot of YA titles.

Took DD to the doctor's for her annual. Two staties were chasing someone on the other side of the highway. Friend messaged me awhile later saying to stay off the highway, it was shut down. Car chase. Guy crashes his car, gets out of car runs to other side of highway and stops another car and stabs a woman and gets in her car and takes off. They got him but highway is shut down. I took backroads home. My town is gridlocked right now. Glad I only have to go the the grocery store which I can get to easily.

Anyone want two sickies? They're free to a good home. One is cranky but hyper. The other is coughy and whiny.

DS vomited again last night around 1030. He had been lethargic most of the day but was back to himself near the late afternoon/evening. I was holding him and, well, yea. Took him to the ER because I worried that he may be dehydrated. Nope. Hydration was fine. They gave him Zofran for his tummy and some Powerade. But, I guess they saw red in his throat when they looked in it because they did a throat swab for strep and it came back positive. My poor lil guy :(

This morning, DH wakes up with strep symptoms. I figure he caught it from the same source DS did so I took him to Urgent Care since our PCP is closed on Fridays. They did a throat swab. Negative. So what's wrong with DH? Bronchitis. Argh!

So, I'm the only one not sick here. Thank God I have a good immune system!
