At lunch, which was midnight or after, I had a whole grocery store to choose from and lots of time, just couldn't find anything I wanted to eat.

It happens in my fully stocked kitchen often. Everything sounds good when I buy it but not when I open the cabinet. And it still doesn't appeal when I open said cabinet for the third time to look again at my choices.
Made a list, sorted my coupons, spent 2 hours in the grocery store, and realized after being rung up that I had left my purse at home.

Ya'll better start sharing your "it happens" moment.

I thought I did the "sh" thing but it didn't take the first time.
Oh well.

I cannot tell you how many times I have looked for something to eat and not want anything that was perfectly delightful to eat otherwise. The only thing that ever winds up being a good choice is cheese and crackers. Nothing satisfies like a good chunk of cheddar with tomato and basil wheat thins!
I guess I am the opposite. More often than not, I don't feel like eating when I am not at work. I do have food in the house, I just don't feel like eating it. It sure helps me save money when I don't have to shop often. Over the years, my appetite has gotten less and less. I am not "old" or a "senior" yet, so it's probably not an age thing.
Last week I was talking with a co-worker about the various flavors of cup noodles, brands, and how they are not as salty as before, and another co-worker (who apparently was eavesdropping) chimed in with how she did not want to hear about what I ate, so just stop talking about it. She sounded quite irritated and upset about it, but I just ignored her and continued to chat with the other person. She obviously had something up her rectum that day (I did not notice any stick, so it must have been another object wedged in there).
Food is not something I think about a lot. But that is just me. I am sure others have their own quirks regarding food. I feel it is petty to judge people on their food preferences.

You are like the men on my Mom's side of the family. The family joke was always that the Women Live To Eat & the Men Eat To Live.
I do hope you get a few more fresh fruits/veggies into your diet. This is from someone who is woefully behind in their fresh foods intake.
Maybe we can make some sort of pact/challenge on the fresh foods that can benefit us both?
