A mother from Georgia has lost the custody of her two youngest teenagers after a YouTube video showed her setting fire to their beds.

The mom, who has five adopted children, said she posted the clip to social media to send a message and ask for help.

Deborah Smith, who is known on YouTube as 'Southern Momma,' previously blasted one of her sons' cellphones to smithereens with a rifle as she denounced his social media use in 2015.

This time, she clams her so-called tearaway teenagers were 'dealing in drugs'. She decided to take things to the next level by setting two of their beds alight.

Temper: Deborah Smith, an outraged Coweta County mother, destroyed her sons cellphone last month, but has now turned her focus to their beds

The Smith family's five adopted children range in age from 16 to 29. Two are biological brothers and three are half-brothers and a sister.

It was last year when Smith said she caved in to pressure from the children and bought them each cellphones, but then the three youngest children started behaving badly.

She had hoped to limit their phone time to periods when homework and household chores had been completed.

Her son, Ethan, was 15 at the time and an Eagle Scout who had started hanging out with the wrong crowd and acting badly, she said. She also claimed that two of the other boys, McKenzie, 17, and Robbie, 16, also acted up.

'I made another video because my boys were out of control,' Smith said. 'They're stealing from us, they're buying drugs and hanging out with 'drug-thug buddies.'

Smith said she wanted the teenagers to realize they couldn’t use drugs and come home to lie in their beds

However, it became apparent there was a direct correlation between the teenagers' school grades slipping and the amount of data usage on their cellphones, she added.

It all came to a head with Smith denouncing the effects of social media on her family using a 12-gauge shotgun and a sledgehammer which she then posted to YouTube.

After placing the cellphone on a tree stump, she loaded the rifle and fired - shooting Ethan's phone twice.

With perfect aim she blows the smartphone to smithereens, as its pieces go flying into the grass.

'Set it up,' she orders, as the man behind the camera begins to gather the pieces on the ground.

'Still recording?' she asks, 'Yes ma'm,' he dutifully replies, showing viewers a cracked iPhone screen.

Last year, the Southern mother decides to punish her 'disobedient' children, not by taking away their electronics - but by shooting them to bits

On her very first shot the mother blew the phone to smithereens, before having the man behind the camera put the surviving pieces back on the trunk so she could shoot again

The mother reveals one of her children has left but then the camera shows two teens, a boy and a girl, are still here - watching as the only outlet they've ever known to a social life disappears.

'I also take back my role as parent to my children,' she then yells, not quite explaining just what that would entail.

Meanwhile a boy, presumed to be one of her sons, returns to the scene and gives the middle finger to the camera.

'I refuse to be cursed,' the mother begins again. 'I refuse to be disobeyed. I take back my role as your parent.'

'Get a shot of them,' she orders, as the camera pans to reveal the three angry children standing with their arms crossed, until one flips a double bird again.

'My children's lives are more important to me than any electronic [device] on this earth,' Smith said.

Anything left put it on top,' she orders as the man behind the camera picks up the touch screen and back casing of the smartphone.

'Good for you,' one of the children interrupts. 'We still don't give two f***s'.

'I refuse to have them influenced in negative ways,' the mother continues.

'Contacting people they don't know, being involved in drama they don't need to be in, and being in trouble at school for having phones out.'

She then hammers the remaining pieces a few times, her dog watching, before screaming: 'I'm done!'

‘I refuse to be cursed,’ the mother tells her children. ‘I refuse to be disobeyed. I take back my role as your parent'

For a while, the behavior of the kids improved, but the change was short lived, according to the mom, and she said some of the teenagers regularly hung out with friends until the middle of the night. Robbie even began selling drugs and got in trouble with the law, she claimed, although he has not been charged with any offences.

Smith then decided to make another video - and this time blew up their beds.

'I made another video because my boys were out of control,' Smith told the AJC. 'They're stealing from us, they're buying drugs and hanging out with 'drug-thug buddies.'

So wanted to teach the teenagers another lesson: that they couldn't use drugs and then come home to lay in bed.

'Today, we're going to take that option of where to sleep away,' Smith said in the video, shotgun in hand. 'I've had enough.'

This time, someone called the Coweta County Department of Children and Family Services.

A social worker wanted her to sign a 'safety plan' promising not to use such deadly weapons in front of the children, however Smith refused saying the agency was attempting to deny her First and Second Amendment rights.

As a result two of the children were taken away from her.

Smith says she hopes the boys get into a program that will help them through their so-called 'drug addictions' before it's too late.

She then hammers the remaining pieces a few times, her dog watching, before screaming: ‘I’m done!’

That's bull. It's legal to own a gun, legal to shoot a gun, and legal to take your kid's phone away.

"I take back my role as a parent."

I'm actually more concerned about her burning their mattresses.

Why oh why do these people take pictures and make videos of themselves doing these things. That was her mistake.

Yes, I thought THAT was what finally made CPS take action.

She looks and sounds really unhinged. I'm going to assume there is more to it and they maybe made the right call.

Well, I could agree with you--but then we'd both be wrong.

Yeah. She should have just give them a good, old fashion whoopin.
