Teenagers are the worst. Lol

Honestly, they will continue to push your buttons until they learn you aren't going to give up. And my DD didn't seem to care when I took away her privliges or grounded her or gave her extra chores. So continuing to do so was pointless.

Now that you mention it O4, pretty sure that was the last time I had to punish her as well.

I won't flame you MM. It got her attention.

Jesse doesn't care if you take everything away from him either. He'd sleep on the floor and it wouldn't bother.

I do remember telling each of them at different times that I'd go to school with them if I had to. Sit right beside them and be the most enthusiastic person in the whole school.

That threat worked every single time.

When DN was 12, she called my mother the "c" word and my mother slapped her across the face. DN called the cops and a female cop showed up. When she heard what happened, she told DN she deserved the slap and if she called for anything so stupid again, she'd slap her herself.

Wow! A CPS worker with some common sense! YAY!

I would have slapped the kid too!

I threatened to call the police on my mom once.

I was about 8ish maybe. She had just given me a spanking for something, probably mouthing off.

Anyway, she said "go ahead, call them. And we will go through the whole process. And the second they clear me, I'll bust that butt again." And she handed me the phone and left the room.

I do remember my nosey aunt called CPS once on my mom. Aunt didn't like my mom. At all. When aunt felt disrespected one day, she said mom had beat me. CPS showed up, found nothing. Scared the holy crap out of me. And left. I was about 6ish.

Aunt didn't come to anything we were at for a really, really long time after that.
