Both my son and nephew graduate this year, the same weekend.

I know I don't send my nephew an announcement about my son.

But do I get my nephew a gift?

If the two were not graduating the same weekend, same year, I would.

So I'm thinking I'm getting him something anyway.

And as a bonus question, suggestions for the gift?

HS? $75.00 is my standard. More if I actually like the kid!

I would get him a gift. I don't understand why them graduating the same day would matter? I've never heard of that before.

My gift would be money or a gift card.

Yes, send a gift. And maybe not an invitation, but an announcement instead would be nice to send nephew, announcing your son's graduation.

I've been planning to get a gift. I was just curious about etiquette.

According to the paper with the announcements, it says anyone graduating the same time should not get an announcement from a fellow graduate.

Invitations are limited at our graduations.

I was going to ask, are pen sets still a good gift?

No, give cash. They'll need it. College fund, buy supplies, etc. They want cash!

Gift cards for things like AMazon are great or a big box store like Target or Walmart

Cash or gift cards - ALWAYS. Unless the individual has requested something specifically.....
