TOTALLY GEEKED!

Hi, Flan!
Miss Prissy-butt woke me by walking all over me, with the loudest "meow ya'll" you ever heard, trying to convince me to get up and feed her (again)!
I know, I know, she's 22 years old, and needs more nutrition, but seriously, every 3-4 hours???
She got wet food at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 5:30, and 11:30 (both large & small cans).

She has us well trained.

I got to sleep in somewhat today. going in late, after I put DD on the bus.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Scully got me up at 5 for a bottle.

I wish I could go back to sleep. But that's not going to happen.

 After two back operations, it's a roller coaster...One day he feels strong, and the next day he can barely walk. He does stretches, uses the heating pad, etc.

We don't have much planned today. I don't know if he can make it to a restaurant. I may just pick up Chinese takeout for him.

I'm glad yesterday is over. May 5th marked the one year anniversary of my dad's passing. Called mom several times, as did my sisters. It was just a tough day for all of us.

It is beautiful outside again. Plan on sitting out in the warmth, puttering with plants, and just relaxing for once. Well, until I have to go watch the grand's at their track and field day events..

Hope you all have a great Friday and are looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend.

"Prissy-butt" is what DH calls her when she is walking all over him trying to wake him up - her real name is "Pepper" - because she has the coloring of fresh ground black pepper.
Yes, we've even gone to a more expensive brand to keep her interested in her food. Her favorite treat is people food - chicken, turkey, and pork being her favorites, so I make sure I always have some meat without sauce available for her.

She owns us - not the other way around!

It's 89 degrees out there!!

I went shopping at a cute little boutique, got some great new clothes. Also got my hair trimmed and the brows defolaged at a friends parlor. Her DD just opened the little shop back up, and I happened to run into the both of them at the boutique. I generally never have this much luck at timing last second stuff, but today was a winner! All of this before the track and field events!

Fridays never go this good for me.

Hmm, next week will probably $ucc...

 We had a department meeting after the all-staff one. I politely told my co-workers that I was tired of their laziness concerning one specific task.

Just got back from a free furniture event. Got an end table for DS' room so I can finally get a lamp in there. It's heavy enough that he shouldn't be able to move it. Supposedly, anyway. He's a strong boy. Also got 2 new chairs. A guy there tried to take one of the chairs I was holding and got told no. He said that his buddy was at the event first so he should get it. I told him it doesn't work that way. Now, had the chair been by his truck, I wouldn't have touched it. But, it wasn't by his truck. It was with a bunch of other chairs that a bunch of other people were examining. Same guy tried to take a recliner from another lady who had claimed it and was holding it.

The rules of the event were simple. Come and get it. Bring help and a way to haul it. Nothing whatsoever about first on the lot gets dibs on everything.

 Used. A thrift store was cleaning out their warehouse. Every so often, events like this will pop up. You have to be able to go fairly quickly once you see the ad because things go quickly. Preferably, you will have someone with you who can stand guard over your finds.

We took the boys to the Route 66 potato chip factory a couple years ago. Free samples. OMG. I was in heaven.

 Yeah, it still swells and is hard to bend. But i do have 4 screws in there, so its going to be a process....
