The war on poverty--started in the 1960's--has failed miserably. We have more people in poverty now than at any time in our nations history after spending TRILLIONS on this "war". Plus, we have created a class of people who are wholly dependent on the government to live.
The breakdown of the family has partly been caused by this. A single mom can get welfare, but when she marries that disappears if he has an income--so they don't get married.

Well, I could agree with you--but then we'd both be wrong.
I pity the future slaves of this country. My grandchildren will pay for the decline of America values.
Yes, I said slaves, because that is what we will be in the future.
We are almost at the 40% of the people on welfare needed to change the core values of our country. They will vote themselves our money, to the ruination of all.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.

I know right? Look at Greece and Italy, both suffering from so many on the dole.
