Here is what ed planned for today:

Wednesday I go back into Manhattan for a new CT scan and pulmonary (lung) function tests.

Using the cheap paratransit bus, it will be an all day affair.

Kind of a grueling day.

Para-Transit bus (Access-A-Ride) took 2 1/2 hours for the one hour trip. Spent about an hour circling around Brooklyn picking up and dropping people off.

VERY bumpy.

CT went well.

Pulmonary function testing was challenging, because of my cough.

 

Wound up taking Uber home again .

I felt pretty good today.

Ran some errands and didn't feel tired right after.

Then we had four power failures, total about two hours.

All the electronics that were supported by uninterruptible power supplies had to be reset,

and our primary cable box / DVR died. Cablevision will replace it tomorrow.

Right now I'm feeling like I have a fever ...

the thermometer says ....

We had a good time with our sons. DS2 brought a blue ray player and a movie. We had lunch from a local steak house, then

watched the movie, then had the ice cream cake.

 

I took sudafed to help my breathing ... and now I'm wide awake at 3 a.m.

Hi Ed!

With all the rest you're getting, your sleep patterns will get all out of whack. Back in '90 when I had my knee replaced, I was given Halcion, but that's no longer being prescribed. It only took a week to get back to my regular hours. Is there something you can take?

Spouse hasn't complained about her computer crashing today ... or Excel crashing.

She's worried (as am I) that this will kill me.

 

Meeting with Oncologist Thursday morning to find out what the plan is.

And expecting to talk with HR tomorrow, about the prospects of keeping my job.

 

If they fire me, I'll have to sign up for Medicare Part D and B (I think) and some Medicare supplement plan.

And the company's term life coverage will go away.

AND i LIKE my job and want to go back!
