This is a pasta bowl. It isn't a typical bowl. It's a plate with curved edges. I think some of you may have used them before and just thought they were plates because they are more like plates than bowls IMHO.
But it kills my teeth and jaw now to eat it from the cob.

What she's trying to tell you is that she's a little tart!

I hold it up to my mouth, eating 2 to 4 rows at a time, from left to right. Then I roll it up in my fingers a bit, and start the next 2-4 rows, again left to right. Continue as necessary.

Those are pretty, and I have seen them, but I've never eaten spaghetti served on anything other than a regular plate (some of which did have a slight curve at the lip, but only like any basic Corelle plate has). I have been served soup in them occasionally though. It was explained that a wider surface area allowed for quicker and easier cooling of a hot soup.
MM is right. Our Olive Garden serves spaghetti on a platish. It's like a plate with a deep bottom. If you don't realize what it is you think it's just a really big plate. In reality it's a very shallow bowl.

Olive Garden's "plates" are usually just very shallow bowls.
Yes, these are the things I have eaten out of at Olive Garden. They are not flat plates. They are like deep plates. Specifically for spaghetti.

Just wondering if this is the same LW who couldn't figure out the fat sandwich.

I have various types of plain bowls in several sizes for everything from salad to soup to cereal, etc. I have 2 sets of mixing bowls and a few small bowls I use for sauces, prep work, etc.
Then there are the "big" bowls and the "little" bowls.
Doesn't matter what you put in them. Just how much you want.

Well I do have mixing bowls & bowls that you serve fruit salad or potato salad or whatever in. Other than my every day plates/bowls everything in my kitchen is a hand me down from my mom or grandmom. I have pots & pans older than me. I did buy a new soup pot a few years ago. And a really nice spatula from the Animal Rescue League.
