When you are doing real research, you need to know the bias of the author. I did read what LL posted.

The timing wasn't "questioned," but considering the fact that we have such gung-ho gun advocates here, I'm surprised that the study wasn't referenced previously.

I'll still own them, because I certainly don't want to be like all those refugees that can't defend themselves against a tyrannical government - but I won't take one out in public.

ISIS is a new animal. Perhaps if the government had been able to call on armed militias (the people), they'd have a better chance fighting off ISIS.
