The best fries I have ever had were fried in truffle oil, sprinkled with finely grated white cheese and parsley. To die for!

The banana split was delicious by the way. ;)

FNW, don't you hate it when the kids will not share anymore?

Truffle oil is amazing. You have got to find a place that serves truffle fried French fries. The Pitch in Omaha serves them. I don't know if The Pitch is a franchise yet or not. I do know they are opening restaurants in other cities.

Their coal fired pizza's are also the best I've ever eaten.

The French fries are the tiny thin ones. I can't hardly eat enough of them, they are so good!

I don't care for truffle oil. I've had the truffle fries too. Wasn't worth the extra money.

Ewww... don't you have a better ice cream place nearby?

 It's soft-serve ice cream.

Waves Hi! Popping in with a rare moment of free time. Statistics is kicking my butt. 15 week course crammed into six weeks.

Busy Busy here. Mom is coming for a visit this weekend. She is driving up from Florida to PA and will be spending a few days here and a few days there.

That is how I got through stats, 101 and 201 in an 8 week time frame, passed with A's biggrin  it was all I did besides work for that summer.  Well worth it.

I'm a steak fry girl. Love me some big thick'uns

Well the lunch with my uncle went pretty well, my dad only made two snide comments which I cut off fairly quickly and moved on from.

Isn't it wonderful when the parents act more like the children?

Jojo is at camp. She is the youngest girl there- most of the others are 8 or so and she's 6. But, there are only 5 girls and 4 counselors - that's pretty great. I'm worried about her, though. What if the older girls won't play with her? What if she gets lonely and homesick? What if she can't sleep, or won't eat the food?

That is definitely not too much of an age gap for them to be playing together, so I wouldn't worry about that

On the fry front, I like mine thin and crispy, even a little burnt. Love dipping in Frosty (my grandpa taught us that) or ice cream. Also love LOVE some brown gravy over them. Mmmmm.

And waffle fries, waffle fries are super yummy. Still crispy and a little burnt

Then she will learn to have fun on her own, on her own terms - a valuable life skill.

She will get through any home sickness. Missing home isn't a bad feeling. It actually helps kids continue to nurture positive connections with "home" to miss it once in awhile. No one has ever died of homesickness.

If she can't sleep, she will eventually get tired enough to drift off. If she doesn't eat she will eventually get hungry enough to try new foods. All good things.

She will be fine. You might not be, but she will be. It's a natural stage of development.

Sometimes older girls will mother the younger girls and take them under their wing especially if they are sweet and small, at least that is what I observe working in children Church and pre-school

Caitlyn is 21 and at a late movie with friends.

Yes, I'm sitting here worrying about her.

It never really goes away.

So there is that to look forward to!

It doesn't end when they are married and in their thirtys either.

I think Jojo will end up leading the older ones around, she has that certain j'nais se quoi.
