In a few hours there will be dozens of people swimming up the river for the annual river swim. Freaked me out one year because I forgot and was looking out the window and I saw someone in the water. I ran outside and then I noticed other swimmers and boats with spotters. No one really swims there normally because the current is so strong.

Gorgeous summer day here today. Mom is here from Florida with her companion and her dog. All they want to buy is sugary sweet stuff. No wonder they also talk about diabetes.

We have a wasp nest in the usual place (outside our back door...which leads to the deck). Two wasps got inside, I killed one.

The other one was like Godzilla & very fast. It took DH almost 5 minutes to stalk & kill him.

Vette, I had an aunt who wore 4 to 6 inch heels, everyday till she died. She was in her late 70s. She wore mini skirts too!

I don't remember ever seeing that woman in flats or anything close to it.

We had a Momma rabbit and three baby rabbits make a home in our mulch pile a couple years ago.

Those rabbits were so cute.

But I think a coyote got them all.

Yep, putting them in private school starting 4th grade. Going to meet with the principal at the Catholic School nearby. Boys are excited, actually. But they will have one more year in public since it's already a done deal.

Im the event coordinator for this, so im doing pretty much everything. They are coworkers of mine, so I couldnt say no, since i pretty much plan all of my coworkers weddings.
It may be a doozie. Lots of crazy family stuff on both sides, not to mention the bride is bat **** certifiable.

If I had little kids, they'd be going to private or I'd home school.

Caitlyn and Jesse have said they will do private or home school their kids.

Aaron says he doesn't think he wants kids.

No way could I home school my kids. I would have given anything, however, to have been able to only work part-time when they were young.

In general, they miss too much without the school experience.

I just had a short nap. Man, that felt good.

I could never ever home school them. They don't listen to me now, and no way I could figure out the wacky dacky curriculum they require anyway. Heck, I couldn't even teach them to swim. Or potty train them.
