We had a farewell party at the Senior Center this morning for one of our favorite members. She's been living in an apartment (LR, K, BR, BA) with her oldest son and DIL for the past 13 years, but now she's moving an hour away to live with her middle son & DIL, (BR, BA), so she's been down-sizing. I had a real hard time thinking of something to give her as a gift, and came up with the idea of a bright, lightweight wreath to hang on her bedroom door. I made it of red and white carnations, with a large accent of red roses, and included the over-the-door hanger. She was delighted! And so were her son & DIL, who surprised her by attending the party.

   If it makes you feel better fwm, I didn't know there was a difference till now. I know I don't like whiskey or bourbon.  I'm a wine, gin & tonic, cosmo person myself.  (not everyday or at once)

Okay, you know, we have a big handsome cat, name "Jack Daniels".

Jack, for short.

I also have a brother-in-law, Monica's husband, who is named Jack.

We also had a neighbor, across the street from us. Jack and Jan.

Well, about three years ago, our neighbor, Jack, passed away.

The ambulance came to the house. He was such a nice guy. We were so sad, for Jan, and her family.

Now, having so many Jack's around...when Wayne got home from work, and saw me crying, he said, "Honey, what happened?"

And I said, "Jack passed away."

Wayne started turning pale....and I said, "No, not Monica's husband...Jack across the street. Jan's husband."

And, Wayne looked at me and said, "Shame on me. I wasn't even thinking of my brother-in-law.  Or our neighbor. I thought our cat, Jack, had died." 

Talk about a crazy day.
