Remember the "spring guns?" Break into someone's home and a gun, rigged to fire, shoots the intruder. Sadly, those were outlawed. But I'll bet they were a good deterrent while they lasted.

After Hurricane Georges I visited family in MS. Cousin drove me around to see the destruction. What was left of some of those stilt houses were big signs, "loot and I'll shoot," "no trespassing, I will shoot," etc. Now I had no intention of looting or trespassing, but I certainly did not get out of the car.

After hurricane Andrew in Miami and Homestead the rule was if you shoot a looter just leave the body at the curb and no questions asked.

Really?  Tell me where these mass shootings have occurred against armed people, please and not in gun free zones?

I've asked the same question on two or three threads now.

No response.

When the tornado tore through Ringgold, they locked it down.

Emergency and military could get in but anyone else had to have proof they lived they.

Every road in was blocked with National Guard vehicles.

Stayed that way for a good month or two.

And each home owner was given the authority to shoot on sight anyone caught looting or in any other way taking advantage.

There was zero cases of looting or violence.

So. You've had time to Google and form an answer.

Where have any of the attacks taken place that was not in a gun free zone?

No. The way to get you not to do something is to simply engage.

You can't answer because you don't have an answer.

You figure out what a right is yet?

But let's just put this out there:

If you assume that most perpetrators of mass shootings are mentally ill, then they likely do not ask themselves: "Is my target a gun-free zone?"

And, another thought:

In December, the speaker at our staff meeting was former LEO, who now works as a security consultant. We did a "What if..." scenario, involving an active shooter outside the room we were in.

One of the points he made was that, even though HE practiced on a shooting range regularly & had an accuracy rating of 97%, in dealing with an active shooter, ANYONE'S accuracy would plummet.

So, yes, arm citizens, but DON'T expect miracles. And DON'T force teachers to carry at school.

I don't assume anything. Especially when it comes to criminals.

So again, shooting not in gun free zones. Soft targets.

How many?

They absolutely do...The Colorado shooter drove past 2 theaters that are not gun free zones.  He specifically targeted the gun free one...

My uncle and aunt, retired deputies, and my two cousins, working deputies and a whole lot of friends, working officers from city to state, all say the same thing.

Aim mid mass.

You'll most likely to get a hit.

So how about it?

Non gun free zones or set targets as settings for mass shootings. How many?

I disagree.

If they had been gun zones, then the shooters would not have even gone there.  They would have found somewhere else...

So I'm going to take it that you can not find a shooting that took place at a non gun free zone or soft target.

So that means taking all the guns away from law abiding citizens doesn't save them from criminals with guns.

So asking a question equals a closed mind?

The truth is, there isn't any. You can't find one.

So the answer is, mass shootings take place in gun free zones and soft targets.

Which means the tightest gun control imaginable can not and will not stop it.

You don't know the difference between a right and a privilege.

You apparently can't do any research.

And you refuse to read things because you have feelings of anger or some such crap.

You are uninformed and it shows.

And when you have nothing of value to add, which is 99% of the time, you focus on things like spelling and caps.

What the random caps? I don't know.

I'm using my phone.

Oh, so now you're upset because I answered a question from NAOW?

I've tried to be nice, especially given your grandmother's health problems. You, however, seem to have a hard on the size of Antarctica.

Maybe you should volunteer at your local library?
