I can shoot a gun and hit the center mass of the target.
You want gun laws? How about enforcing the ones we already have, first?
I can shoot, I've done my share of trap shooting and hunting. I am however not so MACHO as to say I would be the hero in an active shooter situation with a lot of people involved.
I think perhaps many people think its easy but it takes training and in all honesty, most people couldn't do it. Hitting a paper target or a beer can does not mean you have what it takes to act safely and accurately in an active mass shooting event.
So you would just beg for your life....great strategy. At least I have a chance...
Yes, and there were reports of people doing just that and he laughed and shot them anyway. Oh, and you would think that if there are bullets flying around your neighborhood, then maybe there are some criminals around with guns. Even MORE reason to arm yourself if you live where flan does.
Lily said: But stop supporting and promoting movements to restrict and or remove others 2nd amendment right.
Nope.
Do you understand the difference between "restrict" and "remove?"
flan
Have you had a stroke or something?

I've posted twice now, a chart showing that America is not the leader in mass murders.
It's been ignored twice.
Truth is apparently very hard for some to grasp.

Scotland has the highest rate of stabbing deaths in the world. They too have banned guns.
'If more guns made us safer, the U.S. would be the safest nation in the world.'
You are not; you are 10 to 15 times more likely to be shot dead in the U.S.A. per capita than Australia. And by the way, you are even safer in Italy than the U.S.A. with regard to guns, when looked at like-for-like on a per capita basis.
--Tim Fischer, former deputy prime minister of Australia
The chances of being murdered by a gun in Australia plunged to 0.15 per 100,000 people in 2014 from 0.54 per 100,000 people in 1996, a decline of 72 percent, a Reuters analysis of Australian Bureau of Statistics figures showed.
In 1996, Australia had 311 murders, of which 98 were with guns. In 2014, with the population up from about 18 million to 23 million, Australia had 238 murders, of which 35 were with guns.
It was the April 28, 1996, shooting deaths by a lone gunman of 35 people in and around a cafe at a historic former prison colony in Tasmania that prompted the government to buy back or confiscate a million firearms and make it harder to buy new ones.

And one is not true.
I like facts.
Not possible, maybe, if only facts.

How would know? You won't have a gun, remember?
Take an asprin, lay down.

you obviously don't know a great deal about australia ( among other things )--you single-out murders BY FIREARM only, without considering the commensurate increases in OTHER violent crimes ( particularly since the weapons ban ) such as armed robbery, aggravated assaults, etc. committed by ARMED assailants--all this pick and choose nonsense of yours is beyond tiresome

That is absolutely not true.

I'm not doing the research. You can if you want.
Again, it depends on how "mass shooting" is defined.

Well, according to your definition - there have been 3 in Australia since 2011. And since their population is a fraction of ours, per capita - that's not far off.

A mass shooting is an incident involving multiple victims of gun violence.[1] The United States' Congressional Research Service acknowledges that there is not a broadly accepted definition,[2] and uses a definition of a "public mass shooting"[3] if four or more people selected indiscriminately, not including the perpetrator, are killed, echoing the FBI definition[4][5] of the term "mass murder". Another unofficial definition of a mass shooting is an event involving the shooting (not necessarily resulting in death) of four or more people with no cooling off period.[6
If eliminating guns from law abiding would eliminate murder and gun crime, then i would gladly turn in my guns. But, that is not reality. That is not the Nature of Mankind. Sorry. You have to understand there is a dark side to mankind. The Left wants to pretend not to see it. Or, pretend that by simply redefining problems with words, that it somehow solves a real problem.

It's not "my" definition. It was defined as such by the study I posted.

What other countries have the freedoms of America? What other countries have achieved the heights of the American dream? With good comes bad. With freedom comes abuses of freedom.

However you do seem to have a real problem with fundamental rights we have in America.
