Our neighborhoods are so safe BECAUSE we have guns. Crime here is minimal because people are afraid of getting shot...

We all do the same here, I've left my doors unlocked and open more times than I can count, same with my mother...most times I go to visit her I find her keys hanging out the door.

I know all my neighbors and enjoy a safe neighborhood.

Point being, we have safety here and a fraction of the guns you have. So why is it that myself and my neighbors don't have their housed broken into daily...THEY DON'T HAVE GUNS...sup with that? confuse

*Anyone that I know who owns a gun also has a gun safe. Their guns are for hunting, same with me.

You've said you have guns so why do you think others shouldn't have guns? You may have a gun for hunting but what about those who are in urban areas or don't hunt? Are they somehow less deserving of guns because they live in a city? I live in a slightly more rural area. Lot's of hunters but also not very many criminal. I don't hunt but I do own a handgun as well as my husbands shotgun which is locked in the gun closet (I have a CCP [concealed carry permit] so my gun is in a hidden purse holster. I do go out to the city to dance now and then so I guess I'll save you if you won't save yourself.

You are correct. Criminals here don't give a crap about gun laws. It's rare that a legal gun owner is involved in a shooting. 99% of the time, it's the illegal gun holders that are the problem...

And taking away the rights of the non-criminals are not going to stop the criminals...
