Okay, I have got to see this, with or without Itty bitty (or popcorn). I just saw a clip of BABY DORY.
Seriously, how cute is the youngest version of Dory? As part of the fish's heart-wrenching backstory told through flashbacks, baby Dory is voiced by 7-year-old Sloane Murray (daughter of producer Lindsey Collins). Even DeGeneres admits her mini-me is cuter than the beloved adult Dory.
Caitlyn has seen it twice already and Aaron saw it yesterday.
Go by yourself, Lexxy.
That way you don't have to share your popcorn or candy!

LOL, I don't know if I'd feel self-conscious going to the movies alone. I probably would. But in general I don't like movie theaters. They are so loud & there are lots of people. Plus sometimes I like to rewind &/or pause. Just not my thing.

I get the pausing and such.
But going by myself was a real treat.
I was probably 15 the first time I went to a movie alone.
Brother wanted to see one movie. I wanted to see a different movie.
Mom went with my brother and let me go alone.
I loved it.
And because it was the middle of the day, I was literally the ONLY one in the theater.
It was awesome!

So, I just priced the Nemo suites at Disney. Holy cow - $436 a night! My children are going to be disappointed. Caribbean Beach Resort - here we come.
They are high.
Have you priced the cabins?
We love them.

We like the cabins cause everyone has their own bed, the kitchen was wonderful when the kids were little and there is more room to stretch out.
Plus, you're not connected to other cabins.

The bedroom has a full size bed and a set of bunk beds. The living room has a Murphy bed.
A full kitchen, with a full size table and 6 chairs.
That is open to the living room with a full size couch and, if I remember, a nice chair.
A full bathroom.
It has a nice big deck with a picnic table and grill.
And you get the same daily cleaning service you get in the resorts.
To us, it was so much better than the regular resort rooms.
If the kids got a little loud, or we wanted a burger after we got back from the parks or we wanted to spend a day chilling in the cabin, we had room, didn't share a wall with another room and could cook if we wanted to.
The bus stops at the end of each little circle. And those go every where.
There is a playground, a general store, 2 pools and the nightly campfire and movies.

If we were taking more people - that would work well.
There was 6 of us.
But even if it were just the 4 of us, I like the cabins.
We have looked at the new animation resort though.
I like that the bigger ones have 2 bathrooms.

My concern with getting a cabin with a kitchen, is would I really use the kitchen? I don't remember easy access to grocery stores once inside the resort area. They make it so you become dependent on their restaurants, transportation, etc., to prevent you from leaving.
Our hotel had a few restaurants but after 4 days we were pretty sick of the same old menus.

There is a publix, I think that was the name, about 3-5 miles outside the resort gates.
And a general store in the camping/cabin area.
We brought simple dry goods from home .
Spaghetti, some cereal, things like that.
Picked up the cold stuff we needed after checking in.
The general store has eggs, milk, bread, some quick fix things and you can get veggies too.
I loved having the time in the mornings.
We like to sleep in and could get our own breakfast at our own pace. Made mornings easier.
And when we would go back to the cabin around 1ish. Have a sandwich or burgers and take a nap go swimming then go back to the park around 5.
Then when we got back to the cabin around 11, the kids could have soup or left over spaghetti or whatever.
I think it cut our cost by a couple hundred dollars which allowed us more money for experiences in the parks.
No, we didn't cook every meal and the maid cleans everything up.
There is a dishwasher so it really wasn't an issue.
Jesse was a very picky eater at that age. I had to have options.
I only wish they had bigger 2 bedroom 2 bath cabins.

Our plan was to return in the evening but the weather didn't cooperate. Horrible thunderstorms every evening. And the boys were much more interested in night swimming at the hotel pool anyway. It might not be a novelty anymore since they have their own pool now.

I can see that.
Now the other resorts have the themed pools.
Water slides and music and such.
The pools at the campground and cabins are more natural.
When we go next year, I think the kids and I will stay at one of the resorts with a zero depth entry pool.
That way, I can get in.

I'm not going to cook on a Disney vacation. We take breakfast items and snacks - but nothing we need a whole kitchen for.
We like the option.
We always stay where we can have a kitchen.
Or at least a good kitchenette.

We rented a condo at Nemacolin which had a kitchen even though we did not intend to cook. It was nice to have a refrigerator to store the leftover room service breakfast and have a microwave to heat it up later. And a dishwasher to store dirty dishes. I think next time we'll take some snacks and perhaps food for lunches and breakfast so we don't have to venture out right away. Live and learn.
The pool in FL where we stayed had a zero entry pool, a nice curvy slide, and a lazy river which I spent the better part of a day in. And they had cabana boys/girls bringing you food, drinks, etc. It wasn't considered an official Disney resort, but it provided shuttle to the park which was what I wanted. And we could see 3 or 4 different firework shows from our room windows. My brother's in-laws live in FL so he is an expert on the FL parks. I was snapping pictures of our view and he was texting back telling me what everything was....Tower of Terror, etc.
How do you have time to cook at Disney?! I felt like we were on the move from wake up until bedtime.
The first two times we went, I felt like that as well.
When I took my kids, I refused to do that.
We had 10 days of Disney.
We took our time, took breaks, did what we wanted.
We spent most our time at the Magic Kingdom.
But we spent time at all 4 parks.
We did the opening show one day. After that, we waited till about 9:30 or 10 to go in.
We went back to the cabin around 1 or 2. We rested, went swimming, had lunch, and went back to the parks around 5.
And we stayed until there was a ride left open.
Lots of times we caught the last ferry and bus.
We were able to avoid the thick of the crowds, the hottest parts of the day and the grumpiness.
Sometimes we ate in the park. If there was something we wanted to see.
The best was during the fireworks. You can see them from every where.
So we would ride things while everyone else was standing on main street.
We literally walked up and got on the Pirates ride with no waiting.
Several others too.

I've looked at Swan and Dolphin resorts.
I'll check that place out.
