I've only owned chinchillas as far as rodents go and they take the cake!
Really? A few years ago my friend asked me to take care of her chinchilla while she moved & never came to get it. I had her for about 6 months & she was not very friendly or nice. If she got mad at me because I wanted to put her back in her cage she'd pee on me. Her fur was extremely soft but her teeth made up for that. I found a local chinchilla website & gave her away free to a good home that already had one chinchilla that was lonely. I hope she is happier now.

LOL, he could be an ankle biter when he got wound up. He was a fun pet though. He would chase the cats & the cats would jump up on something & he'd try to jump & splat right into it. It was hilarious.
