A tied decision today in the Supreme Court blocked President Obama's immigration policy that would have offered more than 4 million undocumented immigrants a chance to remain in the country without fear of deportation. The justices were deadlocked 4-4.

You mean the sit in? LOL!!!!!
You see, sit ins, by definition, are supposed to hinder an action. The idiots are sitting on a floor, a floor that no one but they and their colleagues can tread upon, surrounded by armed guards.
You cannot make this schitt up. The stupidity, it hurts...

Oh, I know, too funny. And Ryan dismissed the House after they voted on it and they got to home home while those idiots sat on a hard, marble floor all night. Knock yourselves out.
As a result, as many as five million undocumented immigrants will not be shielded from deportation or allowed to legally work in the United States.
So let me get this straight, you have five million undocumented people living in your country, some for decades.... who cannot pay taxes? And you think this is a good thing?
Do you really think they will all be deported?

I hate to bring facts into this, but some DO pay taxes...
Politicians are taking action against existing gun laws & you better believe they're getting lots of press.
flan
Not really. Most people are making fun of them. They aren't taking any action. They are sitting on the floor...like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum.
Support for tighter gun control laws increased 9 percentage points after the Orlando terror attack, and support for background checks and other measures being debated in the Senate hovered around 90%, according to CNN/ORC poll released Monday.
The support for tougher gun laws rose to 55% in the newest poll -- the highest number since just one month after the shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, in January 2013.
But support for specific gun control measures was very strong, with 92% saying they wanted expanded background checks, 87% supporting a ban for felons or people with mental health problems and 85% saying they would ban people on federal watchlists from buying guns. Among Republicans, that number is even higher -- 90% say they favor preventing people on the terror watch list or "no fly" list from buying a gun. That number is at 85% for Democrats.

Absolutely they do. They pay sales tax just like the rest of us. Which is why I'm glad I live in a state with a high sales tax (and no state income tax). Everybody pays their share...

Deny the truth all you want.

The truth is that conservatives don't want more laws concerning guns. That's what the sit in was about. Not one Conservative voted for tighter gun laws.

The Democrats started their sit-in at 11.25am on Wednesday demanding a vote on gun control measures that they insist will save lives.
John Lewis, 76 – who half a century ago took part in sit-ins and acts of disobedience during the struggle for civil rights – told the House: “We have been too quiet for too long. There comes a time when you have to say something. You have to make a little noise. You have to move your feet. This is the time.”
He added: “How many more mothers? How many more fathers need to shed tears of grief before we do something? Give us a vote. Let us vote. We came here to do our job. We came here to work.”

Get back to me after you're elected to a national office, Hon.
They DID "say something." I'm betting this story led most nightly news reports.

Richard Blumenthal (Connecticut) lauded the sit-in as sending "a message to the American people that they need to rise up and be heard just as these Congressmen are trying to be heard, and to vote."
"This is the beginning of something much bigger, and it will shake the business as usual approach of the United States Congress - there's no more business as usual," Blumenthal told CBS in an interview. "The nation has reached at tipping point, Orlando sent a signal that enough is enough, and that's what they're saying."

I was talking about income tax, off pay checks. Obviously when they buy things they pay tax.

Quite a few states have minimal sales tax and some states don't charge sales tax on certain items. My state doesn't have a state income tax, and most of these people would be exempt from paying Federal taxes anyway...

If they are working they are committing at least 2felonies. First since they are illegal they have no right to work in this country, second felony is they are either working under the table to sort taxes or they are using a stolen ss#, which is a felony.
