Absolutely they do. They pay sales tax just like the rest of us. Which is why I'm glad I live in a state with a high sales tax (and no state income tax). Everybody pays their share...
I was talking about income tax, off pay checks. Obviously when they buy things they pay tax.
If they are working they are committing at least 2felonies. First since they are illegal they have no right to work in this country, second felony is they are either working under the table to sort taxes or they are using a stolen ss#, which is a felony.

"Without the estimated 3.1 million undocumented immigrants paying into the system, Social Security would have entered persistent shortfall of tax revenue to cover payouts starting in 2009," he said.

Yep, they are paying into SS under a false name. SS is already short. I have no delusions that it will be available when I come of age. That hasn't even taken into my retirement plan.

I worked with the same two guys at two different jobs.

Both the guys were illegal.

They went by completely different names at the two different places.

And I know of several families that were illegal and got paid under the table.

They also collected every benefit they could get.

They drove escalades for cripes sake.

The Senate voted Thursday to allow further consideration of bipartisan legislation banning gun sales to people on the terrorism "no-fly" list.

Senate Republicans could have killed the measure, but several sided with Democrats in allowing it to go forward.

But it is not clear it has enough support to pass. Fifty-two senators voted to keep considering the bill, but it will ultimately need 60 votes to be adopted. Majority Whip Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, had called it a "test vote to see what it looks like.”

It doesn't look great. To reach the threshold, supporters could set their sites on picking up the backing of Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif, outspoken advocates for a no-fly/no-buy ban who didn't vote Thursday.

But they would then have to flip six Republicans who voted to kill the legislation, a daunting task.

Still, Democrats declared victory in simply keeping the compromise — crafted by Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine., and a handful of colleagues from both parties — alive for another chance.

"We won the vote, Collins won that vote," Democratic Leader Harry Reid , Nev., said, adding that the National Rifle Association "lost this one."

He called on Republican leaders to allow another vote to actually try and pass the proposal. "It’s the right thing for the country," Reid said.

The effort to forge the compromise began last week after Democrats led by Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy filibustered for nearly 15 hours on the Senate floor demanding a vote on gun control. The chamber took votes Monday defeating four partisan gun proposals largely along party lines.

In order to succeed with the current party split in the Senate, legislation needs support from both sides of the aisle, so those advocating any changes to gun laws have shifted their hopes to Collins' compromise proposal, even though it’s a narrow sliver of what gun control advocates had called for after the massacre Jun 12 in Orlando.

It would ban gun sales to roughly 109,000 people, including 2, 700 Americans, who are on two lists: The no-fly list, which prevents them from boarding commercial planes flying to, from or over the United States; and a so-called “selectee list,” which mandates they receive extra scrutiny at airports before flying.

The measure, proposed as an amendment to a spending bill funding the Justice Department, would allow individuals denied firearms to appeal in court. It would also mandate notification of law enforcement if someone who was on broader terrorism watch lists within the past five years tries to buy a gun.

That is a stupid statement. They pay under a false number and then collect. That article didn't tell the full story. People, real Americans, retiring these days file for SS only to be told someone is already collecting on their account, takes years to straighten it out.

the thing that is stunning to me is that all the fraud/theft/graft associated with SS scams ( and welfare ) occurs out in the open, with impunity and incredible gall--and the perpetrators exhibit NO FEAR of prosecution/imprisonment--ZERO--and folks like Ofour, myself and others who have been paying into the system for decades have little ( if any ) prospect of recovery--what all the dems/libs can't seem to realize is that eventually ( in the very near future ) the system will collapse--the dems/libs can't seem to grasp the fundamental economic truth that as the pool of contributors DECLINES ( and continues to do so ) and the pool of recipients(legitimate but now mostly not) continues to INCREASE, the money runs out--it is a statistical FACT, not a singular opinion or theory

Did you know there were some where between 47,000 and 1,000,000 people on the no fly list in 2012?

And it is everyone from babies to political officials.

Before September 2011, there were only 16.

Still looking for what lands a person on the list.

Some of the court cases have been returning US military, students and children born to US citizens while abroad.

I'm thinking using the no fly list to restrict law abiding citizens from purchasing guns could be a bad idea.

Some of the problems with the no fly list are that no one knows when they are on the list, they are no rules as to what gets you on the list p, and is dang near impossible to get off the list if on it in error.

First off, in your attempt to be rude you posted incorrectly. Its not a statement it is a question. I posted an article and Ohfour was answering my questions. If its not true and they DO collect SS tell me how they do that.
