They have stalls, which makes me wonder what the fuss is all about to begin with.

Well, we made it home from shopping. God be with DD8 the rest of the day, because she has used up all my patience. I put both kids down for a nap so I get some quiet time to regroup.

Even the best kids, have a bad day, every once in a while.

That has been my experience.

Enjoy your quiet time, NAOW.

I'm sure she'll be better, after her nap.

Fingers crossed.wink

Every time I go to Target I keep waiting to find a guy in the bathroom.  Never happened.  Although yesterday when I was pulling out I saw the weirdest guy.  He was really tall and skinny.  He had on white cut off denim shorts, a sleeveless white denim shirt that was unbuttoned to his belly button, and cowboy boots.  He had extremely long hair and a bunch of gold chains.  He looked like a worn out band person.

I don't think goats eat dogs. But they eat just about everything else.

I was hoping to leave early, I'm heading to Columbus for fireworks tonight. But, president wants to have a final review of a report I've been working on.....this afternoon. So I'm not leaving as early as I wanted 😔

But, I am so glad it's Friday. This week has been brutal and I don't think I can take much more of it.

Enjoy!  I love fireworks so much and no kids to watch them with this year, only a dog who is keeping me away from seeing friends because he is a wuss!

OMFG it is raining hard out, just started and the wuss dog is howling, crying, and shaking, and that is no rock song!

Poor Sonny!

Have you thought of trying a "Thunder Shirt"?

It really seems to help some dogs, from what I've read.

(Jupiter sleeps right through storms. It's our cats who pace around like nervous wrecks. Go figure.)

It's been clouding up like it's gonna rain but then the clouds just go away.

I kind of hope we do get a nice rain before the fireworks start.

It's been dry lately.

We are under a no burn warning and there is talk of not doing the fireworks.

Oh that is a plus, Lily.  But it's been so dry here not sure if it will make a difference.

FWM, I haven't tried a thundershirt.  Not sure if it will help him.  He wraps himself in blankets wimpering so I don't see how that thunder shirt would help.

Years ago I was away with a boyfriend in Michigan and we returned only to discover his neighbor had shot off bottle rockets and one landed in the mulch in his front yard, caught fire, and scorched the side of his house before another neighbor ran over with his hose and put it out. Ever since, I have always made sure my yard was watered on the 4th.

We have two thundershirts. They do seem to help somewhat. It's different than a blanket because it is tighter. Like someone is holding them.

That's what I was trying to say yesterday FNW. We have neighbors who shoot off fireworks during burn bans. It's also illegal where we live. One year one of their fireworks popped over into our yard and was burning the grass. DH stomped it out though.

Awww, it stopped storming for a few moments so I took the dog out. I discovered someone had left a planter of red, white and blue pansies outside my door. It was my neighbor.

And I'm sure your yard is bigger than ours.

I love cutting grass, BUT we have so many hills & bumps, it's really hard.

They have been doing it since the first summer we lived here. They have quite a few people in the subdivision that hire them. They used to push the mowers from their house and pull a wagon with the weedeater and stuff. Now they are driving and have a truck. I like to support the neighborhood kids...

That shows initiative, as well as hard work. Good for them.

I would love to support neighborhood kids like that, lol. Once, 2 boys came over asking if we wanted the snow shoveled. I paid them an extra $10, hoping that would make them want to come back in the future, but I never saw them again.

I make up jobs for any kid the 'hood that wants to make money. I will hire them to do stuff I would normally do. I want to encourage kids to work hard.

I should just start a GoFundMe account for a new lawnmower...biggrin

Got an unplanned no child night. DS and I were at Grandma's and I told him he needs to get his shoes on so we can go home. I gather our stuff then go the bathroom and return to find that my uncle had put on The Good Dinosaur. DS refused to budge off the couch and Grandma didn't mind having him for the night so he stayed there.

Had Grandma minded, of course I would've picked him up off the couch regardless of his protests. But, the neighborhood was spared from hearing the song of his people. It's good that he stayed the night though. I got home and realized I left the milk I bought in her fridge.
