There used to be a Fazioli's in Martinsburg, WV, when I first moved there. My parents used to love to go when they were out visiting. Eventually it closed, sadly.

They've expanded their menu in recent years. It used to be only pasta & maybe salads.

Now they have "build your own options" featuring whole wheat pasta, etc.

But I don't go THERE for healthy stuff!

Well, BOOOOOOO!

The insurance adjuster just informed us that the warping of the underflooring is an "on-going" problem, not a one-time incident, and therefore not covered.

The problem originated from condensation on the a/c duct work, which wicked up through the insulation, and warped the (OSB) flooring.

At least I was smart, and didn't return the extra bundle of vinyl flooring that we used the last time we had to re-do the kitchen/DR floor, so if we damage any of the planks when we do the repairs, we'll have a few matching planks. The first estimate we have is 3800 - and that's just to wrap the ducts - no repair work at all. :frown:

Thank goodness its only on one half of the house, and not under the carpeting. I don't know what we'd do if it was the whole house.

It looks like The Donald will be here on Tuesday, speaking "somewhere in central Indiana" at 7:30.

He may or may not be giving the VP nod to our guv'ner.

Find a foundation specialist and have the under side of you place sealed.

It might be chunk of change but it'll save you in the long run.

They can seal everything under there.

I wish it was the last hurdle, but it isn't. This program is vital for her to qualify for the next list of programs. If this one isn't in place, she can't get the other ones. Funny how this works. no

That is why this one was so critical to have in place.

Ok so I found out today that a person I used to work with "came out" as a transgender. It blew me away knowing him for the past 20 years. At the same time it explains a lot! I've had friends come out before (as homosexual) and it was never a surprise but this one is stunning. I really hope it doesn't harm his/her professional life, but it may.

My boys got me into this finding Pokemon thing.

I think it's probably one of the best game enhancements ever.

I don't know Fazolis.  I had a very disappointing crab cake for lunch.  $24 & disappointed.  Should have stuck with the chili cheese dog I was initially planning on.  Last minute switch & boo!

Fast food Italian (with greasy garlicky breadsticks).

flan

Sounds good.  We don't have them here that I know of.  I've never seen a commercial.

With all apologies to flan...Fazolis is disgusting. It's ketchup on noodles.

Remember Monday, when first my oven and then my Char-Broil gave out?

Today, my entire stove gave up the ghost.

The propane tank is now full, so that's not the problem.
I guess old age is - but its only 12 years old!
DH took me to Lowes, after doing some research online. He came up with a $999 5-burner range, convection, self cleaning, for only $599. But then they had to add on $170 to refit it for propane, rather than natural gas. Plus they added on $14 for delivery (7 miles outside their 20 mile limit).

Its gorgeous black & stainless, and I can hardly wait for them to call to schedule delivery & installation. Plus they take away the old stove. I'll be sure to empty out the drawer where I store my cookie sheets, and take out the shelves. They can be handy for lots of other things

12 years for an appliance is unfortunately normal for replacement.  New one sounds awesome!  5 burner?  SOOOO jealous.

So did the the light sanding on the trunk tonight to ready it for the poly. Sooo disappointed, not all the stain took to the trunk. I know it's due to the maple veneer. As I said it is a solid cedar trunk with the maple veneer. Veneer is hard to refinish because it tends to be mostly poly. Anyway. DD liked the looked, she thought it made it look more distressed. I sent her down to the garage with rubbing alcohol and a cloth to clean off the stain that dried but didn't set in. Since she likes it, I will start the poly process tomorrow.

I was just looking at my calendar, school starts back in 30 days.

My baby is a senior.

Last year for both of us!

I know how you feel  lilyofcourse,  it is bittersweet  to watch our babies  grow up.  I was just telling  my husband  that we have been  empty esters  for ten years and it still seems like yesterday  they were just kids.

I consider myself lucky to have been blessed with a baby late in life.  Being a mother for as many years as I have had as been wonderful.  Although DD is only 11, I am so looking forward toward the grandchildren years.

 Yep.

We are basically on a year round schedule.

But they get out in May.

We get fall, winter, spring and summer breaks, holidays and half days.

 It is bittersweet.

I can honestly say I have enjoyed every minute of it. Even the late nights and tantrums.

I do know I have GOT to find myself something to fill my time.
